Yeah I am definately still reading. Great job and thanks for taking the time. I love how you write. Enough detail to make it intereting but concise enough not to take forever to read. I may try my hand and something like this at some point, but not sure it would be good enough.
I will definately try the mods you are using though...sounds way more interesting.
I am reading too :tongue.gif: And also bookmarked :wink.gif: Don't stop it now, dude! And don't die by falling into lava like that X guys... :tongue.gif:
I've been reading, too. It's quite good - as others have said, I like your writing style. Your grammar mistakes, which would annoy me from pretty much anyone else, don't affect me at all.
Most of today was spent working. First thing I see when I climb on my roof, a pair of Knights dueling to the death. The fight is over before I can choose a favorite, however, so i allow the survivor to live, and I assign him to patrol my roof.
Finally I finish the ceiling/roof, and head back down to the ground level to work on my staircases. First though, I see four lioness's huddled in the corner, looking up at a bird flying up to avoid the lions. thye dont even care when I come up, so pre-occupied with the bird they are. I kill them all, one at a time, while the others are focusing on the bird. I take only one hit in the process, and soon all four lions are dead. This being finished, the birds,(evidently there was four stuck up in the corner) fly back down. Now while I enjoy the sounds of birds in the wild, theirtweets and squaks have no place in my stronghold. So I dispatch of them.
After this, I head back to my house to make some half blocks. I was going to go with stone stairs, but I decided a marble half block staircase would look much more elegant. As I'm going to my hut, an elf attacks me! I am not sure why, but I think its because I killed the birds. Elfs protect wildlife. Maybe the lions to, I'm not sure. So I'm forced to kill it, not untill I take a few arrows though. I go finish my half blocks at home, and head back to my castle, and get a rough draft donw when night falls. I've plenty of torches inside my castle, so I wait out the night there.
Day 28
Day 28. I start off my slightly re-arranging my stairs. They come from the middle, and spill down a turn along both walls. Looks great. I need more cobble, however, so I decide to head back into my mine for a bit. Soon as I exit my Castle, I get attacked by an archer. I'm not sure if these are the regular Rouge archer, but these ones have eyes like the fables Herobrine, except they are a pale blue. Those eyes are unnerving, and I'm even a bit intimidated.
I begin strafing while I try to get closer, and he strafes the same direction, taking shots at me. I take a shot or two as I close the distance, and boy does it hurt. I'm to busy to notice, but out of the corner of my eye I see I've taken significant damage. I get two hits on him, and he gets another on me. I'm down to four hearts, lower then I've been since that first battle... I run. I make it back to my castle, and heal up. Back to funn hearts, I run back out to battle him again. I take a few more shots, getting a few more on him, and finally kill him. I think it took about Five shots it took.. and I have had to heal twice from him. Those guys are tough.
I go back to my home, taking out a few lions hopping around my yard. For some reason lions are fond of this area. As I grab my picks, and some more health, I turn around, and I see it.
A frakkin Pegasus!! Ok, a flying horse, this I have GOT to have. I run inside and quickly make a saddle, as I've plenty of materials for it, and head back outside. Its over near my Nether gate. The excitment of flying around the world is almost to much to bear.
A problem.
There are two archers between me and my prize. One, a normal rouge archer, a pain, but I can deal with it. The other, the Herobrine Archer. as I will now call him.. But I cant help it, I want the pegasus so badly I can taste it. The archers are a little seperated, so I attract the rouge first. We engage in a heated battle, he leaps through my gate and out the other side, blasting arrows at me as I swing for his jugular. Finally, I kill him, my life taken down about halfway.
I heal up, and prepare for an even harder battle. Sword in hand, battle cry screaming, I charge the Herobrine Archer. A vicious volley of arrows screams at me, and I take two before I even get close. He runs, avoiding me as he fires, and it takes an amazing amount of footwork to even get close. I get a pair of hits off on the unnatural archer, and I take a few more arrows. I'm down to three hearts now, and realize how woefully unprepared I am, all my food but one is stack UP in my invetory, not laid out. Still dodging arrows, I hastily scroll to the only food item in easy reach, and I jump back into the fray.
Now at this point, I should have retreated, hidden long enough to make my food easily accesible. Or even given up. But the Pegasus is the golden goose, and I couldnt do it.
I fight with every ounce of strength I have left. I take a few more shots, and I get two more hits on the Herobrine Archer. One more shot, and I will have the ultimate prize, the flying mount, Pegasus....
It hits me... An arrow finds a chink in my chainmail armor, and I fall to the ground, my vision fading to red before I even realize what has happened. For a brief moment I respawn, and begin running the direction I think my base is, but I stop.. I have died, its all lost, the world is no more.
I put up a hell of a fight, but in my greed for what was certainly worth the risk, I didnt use my head. Perhaps it was the increasing sense of invulnerablility, the confidence from surviving all I had, but I took one to many risk, and in that world my my bones will rest.
The End
I hope everyone enjoyed the read :smile.gif: I had a great time doing this, and I am right away going to begin Episode 2 on a new world. It definitely is touch playing like this, but it makes it all that much more thrilling!
Time to generate a new world folks, will be a new post with similar name, just -Episode 2 added to it. Hope to see you there!
This is an amazing and unique type of story / forum topic kind of thing.. 1 suggestion tho... Perhaps add a picture of the most important thing you did each day? Or atleast a pictures of the biggest things you did every 5 days? I think that would be very nice.
I didnt really in the end, I let it slowly go to waste. I did go harvest it daily, and replanted when I could, but when a crop got squashed, I didnt till the ground again. Was planning on moving it out front my castle, but that didnt work out in time.
That was a great read! Thanks for doing this, it's a hell of a lot of fun! It would have been nice to see some pictures of your works-in-progress; your nether castle, your home castle, etc.
I look forward to reading episode 2!
