I don't think you can. I'm unsure if it's intentional or not, but as it is right now, Bonemeal can only be used as fertilizer and to mix with other dyes to get lighter shades.

I just tried it, you cant. But white sheep are the most common so I doubt you'll have any trouble getting white wool. I dye white sheep because they are common and keep grey wool because its cheaper than making it.
Okay, so. Pretty much the title. I got some grey wool from a grey sheep and I want it white but I can't dye it with bone meal. Help?
I just tested, and I the dye-related things I could do with bone meal were:
a) mix it with other dye colors.
:cool.gif: dye non-white sheep with it (edit: including white sheep dyed another color).
Couldn't dye wool blocks with bone meal at all. I guess that sucks if you really need the white wool and don't want to waste any storage on gray wool for some reason. Though dying the sheep before gathering the wool is the most productive (and funniest, though white not so much).

If you dye a sheep will its' wool grow back white or the colour you dyed it in
