Greetings fellow Minecrafters! Ever see someone elses world and wonder "Why doesn't my grass look as fancy as that?" Well, its probaly because there using a texture pack! A very nice texture pack that I personally use is: http://www.minecraftwb.com/index.php/te ... xture-pack It basically changes all the ugly blocks to sparkly bundles of joy.
TO INSTALL A TEXTURE PACK! After you download the texture pack, open it with WinRar (If you don't have winrar you can download it off google for free, just be sure that site Isn't a scam) Once you open, drag it all into a folder (Right click desktop, then go to new, then click NEW FOLDER.) You can name it whatever you want. After said files are in your folder, right click the folder and click "Add to archive" After that, a new folder will come up. Once you see this folder, a list of commands will come up. In the middle left (Far left, but in the middle) you'll see "Archive Format" change it from RAR to ZIP. Click ok. Then, open Minecraft, go to the texture pack section, click "open texture pack folder" then finally, drag and drop your zipped file with the texture pack files in to that folder.
The next time you click on the texture pack folder in minecraft, your custom named file should come up. Select that and....VIOLA! Hope this works!
