That suggestion is very simple nothing special but useful
would you like having item frames on your floor? wouldn't be that cool?
to be acting like plates/dinner plates
or just having an item on the floor (with out using command blocks)
having item frames on roof can act like small lamps and much more
that can help you to decorate much easier by making that to work
thanks for reading
i know its kind of a vague and not very detailed
but you know i can't really detail that because its very simple
i dont know why people havn't being thinking about it
its very simple but it changes a lot
just imagine what you can make with item frames on roofs and floors
Please leave a comment with your mind so i know if its a good idea
i will be happy if added in 1.8 or 1.9 thats maybe a week of work maybe less maybe much more less to make it work i have no idea how much time simple coding like this will take
complete and total support. I'm pretty sure everyone's wanted this since item frames first came out. actually, im supprised it hasnt been added by now, with that last update to item frames.
i'm no programmer, but i don't think it would take more than a day or two.
Full support. I have grand ideas for ceiling murals and ceiling maps that require this, and the ability to place images on the floor would be a welcome design addition.
I could just imagine having an item frame on my table instead of a pressure-plate. I could even set food on it, take it off, and eat it with a few simple clicks.

When a player supports a suggestion, that's all the original poster requires, thus no reason has to be given.
When a player doesn't support, the original poster requires an explanation so that they may improve of the suggestion.
I actually had this thought on my own, why didn't they make item frames work on the ground as a display?
Specifically I was thinking with the item sticking upwards (like a dropped item, only doesn't spin/bob). With models it would be good like shelving, but for 1 item... so good for showing off resource packs, much better than looking at them at on walls.
However, there's an immediate problem with this, and it's that it would need its own 'display setting' in model. The existing 'fixed' setting for item frames wouldn't work since the model would need to act like it is sitting on the surface the item frame is on. The 'head' setting would work for certain things, until you got to those that are set up to be worn like a helmet or glasses instead of simply placed on the head. The best way (without needing a new display setting) would be to use the bottom-most part of the model and use that to create an offset, but that's the type of solution I don't think Mojang would use.
So, if your idea is like mine, partial support. I would like to be able to use items with custom models as decorations (like placing an apple or firework rocket on the table) in a survival world:
(ignore the apple's face, hehe)
If it's just item frames as they look on walls, but rotated to the floor+ceiling, then no support. That's not very useful.

"No Support"/"Support". Only posting "No Support"/"Support" is considered spam and will not be tolerated in the Suggestions section. If you do/do not support a suggestion, please post why or don't post at all.
Because wouldn't you know it, the forums are for discussion. "Support! +1!" isn't a discussion and can be accomplished by hitting the 'like' button. Which they didn't actually do.

So... some guy just bumps a year-old thread with a derp word of "Support" and suddenly the thread just... comes back to discussion? O well, at least the thread is a reasonable thread, and not one everyone hates.
I have a very personal, special hate towards item frames, due to their being as an entity, the mass glitches that could happen with them were overwhelming to me as a developer. So if this was a personal thing, I'd say "Hell item frames caused enough problems the way they are now", but if I was a normal player, I'd say support.

Sometimes I think people pay more immediate attention to joke, troll, vague, and wrong section threads here instead of the actual proper suggestions.
