I like the idea, but I think the OP could be cleaned up a bit. That was kind of a mess with all the different sized fonts (that's the web designer in me talking)
What about having plants that aren't a source of food nor are used in brewing, but do something simply as they are? You know like briars or poison ivy. Or lily pads and vines that we currently have, but something new that provides a new type of function.

Thanks for support. And yeah, the fonts are messed up. Dont understand why...
hmmm, the carrot cake should have a carrot replace the egg, and i don't see the point in adding a new cake item, just use the one that exists, it could be an alternate crafting recipe, and the onions, they should have another use.
also, i just thought of this, wouldn't random patches of farmland look silly in mountains and snow biomes?.
and finally, that nectar herb, makes me wish so badly that they made potions based off herbs instead of mob drops and dusts (ghast tears are fine though), would have made the game less combat based, and more peaceable farming, would suit minecraft and it's building nature.
1. Nah, you still need an egg to make carrot cake. You just dont need wheat in this case. And im working on a onion potion. (It has something to do with the vision of your screen....)
2. Random patches of farmland....what? If your saying that onions and other crops will grow on "random patches of farmland" your dead wrong amigo. I already stated that each crop has its own plant that you need to pick before you get the seeds or the crop or what not.
3. Potions made out of crops is were i agree with you, pal!
i'm making a suggestion of my own on herb and fruit based potion brewing, i would like to include your nectar plant (the nectar is an ingredient), may i do so?.
also, i would suggest a nerf to the diffusion potion, when walking on lava you should be damaged slowly.
I was thinking an cactus that, using a jar, like the Nectar Herb, you can extract water from it that you can drink.
Or the cactus could be specially bred to be edible, so there are no of those "thorns" on it, and you can eat it, like some of those berries in the wild, right off of the ground after you find them, or take them to plant them in sand.
i know enough C# to make a guy on the screen wriggle around, i was asking more along the lines of "shaders lag some people badly, how are they going to make this and have it not be a shader".
I don't feel like explaining it right now.Added a banner. It sucks but its better than nothing i suppose.Added a Poll on what i should add.
No Support, potatoes and carrots are suppose to be rare. Corn is redundant, and onions are actually native to the gobi desert, not swamps. If onions are found anywhere it should be the desert or mesas. Plus food would be too common.
No Support, potatoes and carrots are suppose to be rare. Why? And who said? They aren't special or anything.
Corn is redundant, Yep. But i dont care, its a good idea and im using it. No, i did not steal from other peoples corn idea.
and onions are actually native to the gobi desert, not swamps. If onions are found anywhere it should be the desert or mesas. Well pigs are not typically found in tundras and you usually cant find a squid in a river. But its a game, there's no reason not to.
Plus food would be too common. Food has been common, step three blocks out your house and you will find a pig or cow or something. These crops are actually more rare than the animals.
Hey, my 1st no-supporter. I honor your bravery, but scoff at your reasons. (That sounds sophisticated right?)
are you kidding?, food too common?, who cares about where onions are from, it's minecraft, food is easy to get by killing pigs and cows, this is just a vegetarian option, corn isn't the only thing he suggested, potatoes and carrots are still rare enough, and they have no reason to be rare, they are far from being the best food.

As far as the egg, stereotypical cakes always call for an egg. No matter what kind of cake. This is a stereotypical cake.
2. Yes, new types of wild plants. Exactly. And as for the potion, you will have to wait and see.
but, i think you should clean up the post a little bit, the font size are... a mess.
I like to play games, I like to laugh maniacally when playing games.
Yes, I lied on the servay. No, I do not feel bad. Check out my blog at [email protected]!
And yeah, the cake would look different.
Support! And I so agree with 1337Walrus' idea!
