I posted this to discuss some new gamemodes that should be in minecraft.
I already have four new gamemodes:
Hunger mode: hostile mobs don't spawn, like peaceful, but there is hunger.
Hostile mode: hostile mobs spawn, but there is no hunger.
Infection mode: all hostile mobs attack villagers. The hostile mobs will also attack each other, and when one mob kills another, the victim is turned into the killer. Wolves and ocelots can't be tamed.
Dead mode: there are no animals. Leaves will not decay. Natural plants won't grow. Gravity has no effect.
You should also be able to change the gamemode to hardcore.
Plz suggest more.

I already have four new gamemodes: Well, they aren't that new. They're just moderate not-that-fun variations of normal survival...
Hunger mode: hostile mobs don't spawn, like peaceful, but there is hunger. So it's just Peaceful mode with hunger slapped in? Don't think this counts a brand new seperate gamemode...
Hostile mode: hostile mobs spawn, but there is no hunger. So eating food then goes to health? Should be called "Classic Minecraft mode".
Infection mode: all hostile mobs attack villagers. The hostile mobs will also attack each other, and when one mob kills another, the victim is turned into the killer. Wolves and ocelots can't be tamed. This sounds... pretty horrible. I can already see the gaping holes Creepers will leave. Villages could also get attacked while you're not near them so you can't do much about it. No thanks. What's with the random "Wolves and ocelots can't be tamed" thrown in?
Dead mode: there are no animals. Leaves will not decay. Natural plants won't grow. Gravity has no effect. I don't get it...
You should also be able to change the gamemode to hardcore. Or you could just set it to Hardcore to begin with.
ummmm well maybe there should be a "gamemode maker" option for you... kinda like in halo, since you like getting into that much detail.
I don't support because easy, normal, and hard mode is as bout as simple as it gets when it comes to difficulty, people prefer simplicity over complexity.
/gamemode doMobSpawning False
For the "Hunger Mode"
Everything else is just a dumb idea (not saying hunger mode was a good idea either, but I'm just saying how you can achive it)
I don't support because the level of specificity leaves much to be desired. The fact that you could barely cobble 2 sentences together to describe an idea means that I shouldn't be expected to leave more than 2 sentences as a response.
Because of this, I'll rate according to what I see. I can't support because you didn't give yourself enough time to make your suggestions supportable. That's right, it's the old "blame the suggester for the suggestion being bad" card.
I only want to see one gamemode added to the game:
DFficult.
Like in hardcore, no respawning. It starts out slightly easier than normal, and as time goes on it starts getting ridiculously difficult.
For example, creepers eventually being able to explode if they're close to the player but cannot path to normal detonation range.
Which is why you can't have a small hut in DFicult. You need a proper fortress, otherwise the creepers will just detonate as soon as they hit your wall.
I posted this to discuss some new gamemodes that should be in minecraft. Not really entirely necessary to say why you posted it as that's the point of the forum section.
I already have four new gamemodes:
Hunger mode: hostile mobs don't spawn, like peaceful, but there is hunger. I feel that takes away the neat factor of the game more than it adds, but that's just my opinion.
Hostile mode: hostile mobs spawn, but there is no hunger. Sooooo you just flipped the first one around.
Infection mode: all hostile mobs attack villagers. The hostile mobs will also attack each other, and when one mob kills another, the victim is turned into the killer. Wolves and ocelots can't be tamed. Please explain how the killer is any more different than hostile mobs. We need the details.
Dead mode: there are no animals. Leaves will not decay. Natural plants won't grow. Gravity has no effect. I don't think I would like that mode. Seems kinda boring to me.
You should also be able to change the gamemode to hardcore. I don't really see why you should. Let's say you are in creative mode in a world that you value, and you want to be in survival, so you change the gamemode. It's on creative by accident and you end up dying and poof, your valued world is gone.
Plz suggest more. That's what this entire forum is for.

Uh... How would this work with /gamemode? /gamemode 3, of course.

Another "eventually" would be ghasts.
And armies of one particular mob.
Faliure is inevitable.
No support.
You do have a good point there.
