Invisibility hasn't been touched upon much. We have the potion and that's it. But why not bring it into trapping?
I propose the invisible pressure plate!

Crafted with 2 pieces of glass and a invisibility potion, it works exactly like a regular stone pressure plate, except it is invisible. However, that could be very OP. So, it can be seen with a potion of night vision. it would also have a very difficult to see streak, or some tell-tale particles.

Any questions?

Nope. But if you add a small, glass-like streak through it it would be great, and not too OP.

I agree it needs to be visible in some way with no potion effect. But it can be hard to see.

If it's invisible, how will you remember where you put it?
No trap should be completely invisible. Maybe hard to see, but not invisible.

Note: It is now the hardest thing in Minecraft to see, but not invisible.

This would be extremely abusable to the point that servers will start banning it.

Furthermore, people will start using texture packs which give a texture to this. Indeed, I can specify a custom texture for buttons and pressure plates already, bypassing the 'stealth' aspect of this idea.
