Obviously, the suggestion is about tightropes. Now my horse and I will walk you through the crafting recipes.
How it works and what it does
The tight rope is a special item. IT can be extended up to 40 blocks. But why make this? Pros:
When place in a straight vertical line, it will act as a ladder with no support blocks
When placed at an acute angle, you cannot climb up it, but rather SLIDE down it.
This would be a zip line type of thing. You would look like you are hanging on to the rope with your left hand, but in this case you can't shoot, but you will slice.
Can be pinned down with nails that have an appearance but no hitbox (Saplings).
Can be placed in a straight horizontal line, acts as a block.
When placed at a horizontal perfect line, you can climb on the bottom, but you can't use any items, as you would need to use your hands to.
Zip line cross section... things can be made. What this means is it's like an interrupting pin, and can be used to make the tight rope go to another direction.
Cons:
If a block interferes with the acute angle line, the tightrope can't be made.
Placing it at an obtuse angle does nothing more special that an acute angle
On a horizontal line, you can't use the shift button to stay on the tightrope, although it helps you go slow and steady.
If you are jumping around you might accidentally hit a tightrope, and you might get on it without wanting to.
Even though minecraft does have little physics, you need a support fence/block that can float in midair for the cross section.
Cross sections do not reset the rope limit, just give it some kind of waypoint.
Just regular:
When you use the tightrope, just right click a pin and another pin.
Crafting!
Signs:
1. Tight Ropes
2. Gives 2 Pins
3. Act like the flint is a pin. Cross section.
And here is how the cross section demonstration.
Anything I forgot, I'd love to know
Use this if you want to have a tight rope signature!
I support. However, I feel that it is too complicated, and should be limited to only a few things, such as a ladder supported by only 1 block or a tightrope itself.
I don't see the point of this except for ziplines which are redundant so...
No support.
Even though I just gave 5 reasons why I think it may be useful on an earlier post, you have your opinions, and thank you for the constructive criticism.

I'd only want the "ziplines" not these nails you're suggesting. Just use actual saplings, and stop their growth while tied up. Or, you know, you *could* just use fences, like with leashes.
Fences have a hitbox, and it may be annoying and a little buggy when using a zipline. The sapling thing is a nice idea, so that could be an alternative.

No actually I'm a human. I just support the squid army.
And by an unreal idea, you are not really describing your opinions. I can't tell if you are saying "Wow, that's is so cool, that like unreal bro!" or something, or "That idea is unreal and shouldn't be in the game," which in that case it is perfectly real, you see them in real life, and they can be implemented just fine.

Also, while walking over the zipline horizontally, the player's view should wobble a little (increasing while sprinting) and the player should slow down a little, to give the effect that it's a rope, not a block supported with huge castles.

I was thinking of making it so the play would look like he is wobbling a bit, and the rope itself would wobble, but that's probably hard to make and would probably be extremely buggy.
