Most likely they have their own agenda on what they're adding to Minecraft next. Also putting this in the game would be hard, though judging by the 93% it would be worth it they just don't see that.

Pretty much. I was thinking about making an account for these forums, but I never really got around to it. Then I read this topic and I thought, "I have got to get as much support for this as I can, this is the best Idea for Minecraft I've ever seen!" So I signed up. My username isn't plural, by the way.

I really loved the idea about Timestamps you mentioned in the FAQ. The fact that you will no longer have to worry about your crops not growing, or your ores not smelting, it just has to happen! Thank you for posting this idea on the forums.

It would allow for some AMAZING mods to be created. The first one I could think of is a large underground Dwarve city. The possibilities are infinite.

Curse PremiumActually, there are ways to fix this.
The most simple one is to not load a full sphere,
but to load an ellipse.
By that you can effectively reduce the "extreme-distance" lag effect.

Simple, I added the pictures way, way, WAY back before mcf was even involved with curse and before the picture limit existed. I just haven't changed it, but if I want to change it I gotta go back to 1 picture.

Obviously, they are using a very different strategy in rendering their environment. Tomb Raider creates rooms on a grid system where each point on the grid will draw out two slanted plane; one for the ceiling and a second for the floor to create rooms. It then assigns a graphics map to each panel.
Rooms can be connected to create much larger rooms.
Maybe this method would be more efficient than rendering a complete grid full of blocks?
