I think players should set blocks and mobs on fire when their on fire on Hardcore Mode and Hard Mode.
But,the rate of this happening is 50%
It is also toggable in the options menu.
As with many other ideas that could make things significantly harder in certain circumstances: I'll support it if it's something you can toggle in the options menu.
But not just Hardcore. Hard mode would be fine, and some players may even want this on Easy or Mobless mode.

Added the avaiability for this in Hard Mode and added that it is toggable.

Can you explain, people can already set things on fire...
Do you know of the Greek Gods mod? You run around, and you can light where you walked on fire.
OT: Maybe there can be like how mobs can now light you on fire, maybe players can do like wise?
If you are ignited, and then you touch on a flammable block, such as wood, it will catch fire.
