Instead of chests dropping all its content when broken, all the contents remain in chest. Then you can place the chest inside a chest. If you were to mine the entire chunk, you will end up with lot of cobblestones.
You can dump items into chest, break it and put the chest full of items inside a chest. When the chest is full of chests full of items, you can break the chest and put it into a new chest, effectively giving unlimited storage.
If a chest is blown up by creepers, it will drop all its contents.
Why do I want this? I got 3 large chests completely filled with cobblestones and I was about to fill 4th large chest. I want to break them and put 8 chests filled with cobblestones into 1 chest. Of course, the chests don't stack if it has items, even if it has exactly the same contents. Only empty chests stack.
Don't layer the chests too much or the 4th layer will go to Limbo! If contents end up in Limbo, it can't be retrieved until you enter Limbo to retrieve items. (Inception easter egg!)
This, especially with making keys cost more XP each time, is so much more balanced.

Venit, quessit, induravit.
No thanks.
2.) That would make it too easy.
3.) We're not breaking the laws of space here...only suffocation does that.

Also: It's really overpowered.
You're talking infinite items within one cubic metre of space. I don't think so.
This, especially with making keys cost more XP each time, is so much more balanced.
