I have a suggestion for the new update of minecraft how about a blank music disc on this music disc you can put on music on it from the note block. To put music on it you have to right click the note block with the music disc in your hand to create the music but to put it on you have to make a level cost of maybe 9. thats all i could think of i hope mojang likes it and puts it in the new update
I like the basic idea, but Note Blocks doesn't really work.
Maybe have regular discs in Chests, but Creepers drop blank discs. Crafting it with different dye (like the disc color in the middle) would affect the type it becomes.
Yes, it makes no sense, but neither does Apples from Oak Trees.
I actually love this at its basic concept, a way to record note block setups to a music disc. That functionality would be pretty neat. I'd rather it be added via a new 'microphone' type of block that will record notes played in a certain range to a music disc. This would allow a player to record from a circuit controlling the note block sounds automaticly.
Neither MP3 nor WAVe formats would work for multiplayer because of the time it would take to transmit the files. The files would saturate the connection and produce huge amounts of lag.
It might be possible to use MIDI files, since they pack a lot of music into a small space because of the file format, but the file length would still need to be severely limited (probably to around 16 or 32 KB) to prevent unacceptable lag.
In short, a wonderful idea but probably unworkable (and it's been suggested before).
It would be awesome to be able to upload music files to your server, MP3, WAV MIDI or Ogg maybe.. not sure what would be best. although MIDI is limiting. Then let anyone hear your music.. that'd be cool
And for singleplayer, the ability to store music in your .minecraft files..
well i was talking about the idea with my friend and he said why not make a music recorder it records sound up to 4 or 5 blocksi will learn how to make a mod and maybe make a music disc mod
