My suggestion will be about potions and right now I can think about 4 new potions; Stun Potion, this potion will allow you to stun the mob for a few seconds or minutes depending on the time set for the potion and this will cause them to wonder around aimlessly so you can make a quick get away( of course this has no effect on you since there is no way to make you loose control of the player and he will aimlessly wonder around. The brewing will involve a magma cream->spider eye->inc sac->gunpowder=Stun Potion).
When you throw the stun potion it will cause a large smoke effect so you can't see the mob and the mob can't see you. Flying Potion or Gliding Potion, will allow you to fly or glide from high spots and not take damage when you land in survival( the brewing will probably be involve a netherstar).
A Freeze Potion, that will when in contact with a mob or you it will freeze and slow you down until the potion wears off. (brewing will involve a snow ball ofc)
Grow/Shrink Potion, I think the gullivers mod was good so the team should add it since it would actually be useful in adventure maps and so on. (same brewing recipe as in the mod :P)
I think the stun potion is alright, but could make the Potion of Slowness near obsolete. I guess that depends on what you're trying to do with the mobs. Isn't the freeze potion the same as the Potion of Slowness? The grow/shrink sounds amusing, as shrinking could get you in 1-block wide/high areas, but the grow part seems like a recipe for mob or player suffocation, as it could easily move someone's head in an enclosed area.
I don't like the flying potion, I think that would make travel way too easy and should just stick to Creative Mode.
