I think an alternative use for the anvil (or maybe even an enchantment table) could be to remove enchantments at the cost of experience levels.
I. Hate. Knockback.
I understand Knockback has good intentions, but I find it obnoxious. Knockback, in my opinion, is for cowards... hit the mob once, knock it away and I think that is suppose to give you a chance to run away.
Other than that, the only good use it on creepers...
But when I innitiate battle with a mob, I don't want to knock it away. I want to be toe-to-toe with it and murder it's fricken face off!!
Also, Bane of Arthropods... who kils spiders exclusively? I don't think anyone fights spiders enough to need a sword that is ONLY for spiders.
Endermen are sort of bug-ish... maybe make Bane of Arthropods damage them extra as well?
I'd like to be able to remove enchantments, but endermen shouldn't be affected by bane of arthropods. Endermen don't really have exoskeletons (or obvious ones at least) nor do they have jointed appendages or segmented bodies.

Really? I always thought of them as some sort of alien/insect hybrid type thing... it's black skin always seemed to be a hard exoskeleton of sorts.
I think this is a decent item idea. Not priority but not unimportant. Lol mcMMO skills mod(or plugin?) on SMP allows me to use an axe as a weapon but they always have a knock back effect.

I always thought of them having leathery skin. I do agree that they are aliens, though.

You're right, for PVP it's excellent for the PVP aspect. But I was thinking along the lines of survival.
