Now as we all know swamps are considered hard to navigate though. The water can slow you down and there's not much land. But for an idea we could add a swamp boardwalk. Now this would be cool as its a high bridge so any mobs down from the boardwalk cannot catch you. This results in safe travel though out the swamps and you can get to A to B in no time
Advantages
1 - High up from any mobs.
2 - Easy to navigate.
3 - Made of wood so easy to edit.
4 - Looks nice
5 - Can add rails
Disadvantages
1 - made of wood so it will burn.
2 - Spiders can climb it.
3 -Slightly hard to find.
Now i got my inspiration from my local towns boardwalk because our town has a lake connected to a swamp if you happened to know.
You can build your own boardwalks so we don't need this.
I currently have elevated roads with mine cart rails on them crossing swamps and other biomes. The roads are high enough above the ground or enclosed to keep spiders out.

No support. Perhaps with expanded villages in the biome, or more naturally spawning structures it could be useful, but as the worldgen is right now, I'd much rather not have random bridges spawning all over the swamp terrain. Really, a big part of the swamps is the challenge of traversing them. I usually seek out a swamp biome when I start a new world, they're one of my favorites because they're often desolate.
Without more civilisation in the wild, there seems to be no reason for the boardwalks to exist, and no real use for them that cannot be accomplished by taking five minutes and some wood planks.

Well NPC village houses hold your hand so a few rare swamp boardwalks would make the swamp biomes more "sawmpier".
To make the game more "swampier" (I just murdered that word, didn't I?) then there should be mud, quicksand, and crocodiles.
This makes swamps even easier to navigate through, and completely the opposite of swampier.

The only reason that I respond more than once to your topic is that I left it in a tab when I left my computer.

I suppose so. You win. But still i wanted swamps to have a more eerie feeling? You know right?
No Support, Why not build your on boardwalk?
I Prefer the swamp to be a more desolate and hostile environment.
have you ever wandered why that the best place to set a horror story is in a swamp or marsh?
personally, I want quicksand in swamps. and maybe there might be a zombie that can grab you from below and drag you to a muddy death.
