I was thinking green villagers could be added to villagers with a unique use. I was thinking maybe they could be some kind of homeless guy villager that does not go into a building at night (making them more rare because they die sooner from mobs) but stays in the village.
Instead of trading typical villager nik-naks they would trade raw materials and uncraftable items like gravel, dirt, sand, all different seeds, all different saplings, all different mob drops, obsidian, all the ores, soul sand, netherrack, nether warts, nether brick, endstone, lava buckets, water buckets, grass blocks, mycelium blocks, dead bush, chicken eggs, lily pads, ferns, vines, cobwebs (maybe), different stone bricks types, snow, sugar cane, cactus blocks, coco beans, fish, clay, mossy cobblestone, mushrooms, etc. with rarity of trade based on rarity of resource. I was thinking it would also be neat if he would also very rarely trade water blocks but at the cost of 1 emerald stack and 1 diamond stack for one water block so it would be possible but super hard to get water in the nether without cheating, but this would just be a personal thing I would like to see and if it was implemented should probably be a feature that is toggle-able (at least for servers) for people who want no water in the nether at all. In addition I think it would be neat if they traded spawn eggs (or at least those of peaceful mobs) as well as sponge blocks.
It could also be kinda neat if some of them would hold signs that say things like "the end is near" or other things but this is also something I do not expect to see but would enjoy to have.
I feel this could come in for good use in many places (for example when you need dirt to fill an explosion hole but do not want to make a different area look messy by digging it up), as well as be a nice way to have a chance of getting some cool blocks you normally would struggle getting a hold of.
Edit 1: it would probably be a good idea to make different shades of green or different colors completely, with each one trading certain items from that list, each one holding the item he trades specifily, or something like that.
That sounds great. A homeless guy who has almost everything in the game.

Mother of god please use paragraphs so others can read it easily. It was pretty irritating trying to read this. Remember, how you state your idea is just as important as the idea itself. But as for the idea, it has some good things and some bad things.
Good things:
Uses the generic Green Villager skin and is just another Villager, meaning the code would be simple to add
Trades some items that I wouldn't mind buying such as sand
Bad things:
Trades WAYYYY too much stuff
Trades things that are kept from Survival players for a reason
The "Homeless Guy" thing and the signs are too much, add nothing really, and are just silly (imo)

The signs was just an extra idea I threw out there, I do not expect it to be popular. The homeless guy is just a suggestion of pwhat he could be (like the puprle or the priest brown are farmers, etc). I do not expect him to be able to trade all of those items that is just a list of things he could trade. I will fix the paragraph thing.
MMMMMMMM..... I think it would be better to have the Morshu villager: a fat villager with about 10 chins who sells you stuff, repeatedly says "You want it??", and primarily sells torches, string, and TNT.

I could see that being a good idea, but I do not know if many people would like that idea.
I like the idea of adding the green villager, but instead of being homeless, he is just a generic villager. Anyway, it seems cool, but not the "trade a water block" that's pretty silly.
When I added the water block part I figuered it would not be popular but in the off chance it would be I added it anyway.

But then rubies would have to be added because Morshu doesn't accept emeralds. "Emeralds? Come back when you're a little, mmmmm, richer!"

The farmers seem to be the "lower class" villagers, and we don't need to have a few idiots running around outside and getting quickly eaten.
all different mob drops,
Depends.
obsidian, all the ores,
We go down into the tunnels to get emeralds so we can buy things from them, so we don't need this.

No.

Hm..... For meat? We have butchers. For eggs and milk? Seems like the butchers would be the ones selling those.
it would probably be a good idea to make different shades of green or different colors completely,
No - too complicated.
okay so something the green villagers could be would be guards
Guards... That idea is kind of interesting, but what's the purpose of the iron golem? To guard the otherwise defenseless villagers.

What use do these have in the Overworld?
No.

Maybe they can fight, but they're loners?
For more about the guards click the link to the other post, it explains that they are needed because the iron golems, though powerful effective killers, get stuck on ledges and such making them almost useless many times. And the other things that could be traded are all suggestions and I do not expect all of them to be used, just possibly some of them.

Right, but they're useless. Their only trade is gold ingots.

If they are only availabl via mod, they are not in the game technically.
