This is a fairly basic idea that would benifite the most underated mob in the game: the Snow Golem. Since there are Sandstone & Plains Villages, why not add Snow villages in the Tundra biome with the Snow Golem to protect them? It would make sense since you can't really use Snow Golems anywhere unless it's nighttime. Plus, it would give Tundra's a purpose since they don't have anything you can't find anywhere else like all of the other biomes. For examples: The plains have normal NPC Villages, Jungles have Jungle Temples, deserts have Pyramids & Sand Villages, Taiga's have snow & Spruce trees (please correct me if you can find Spruce trees in biomes other than the Taiga), Swamps will have Swamp Huts & Slimes, & Mushroom Islands have those huge mushrooms & Mooshrooms. Also, you can't tell me you hate the idea of human Squidwards with no arms being protected by Snowmen. It would be hilarious to see.

The reason I made the City hall an exact replica of the small hut & with an inconsistant mixture of wodden planks & cobblestone is because A: Why would a town hall need to be completely huge. Plus, no one in the villages use a well, so why would they use the Town Hall? B: I wanted it to look as if the villagers needed one desprately & did not need the City Hall to match. Like the houses? If you want to try your skills at making a village like this, feel free!
Surprised no one has commented yet. I love this idea. Perhaps you could update this post with some pictures of what the village itself would look like?

I'll try to update this with pictures when my Minecraft stops being laggy. It's been like this all day. Plus, I'm going to pretty much have to rework the entire core of the village since the water in the well would freeze. Maybe a simple hut?
Honestly I don't feel the snow golem ever does much for defense. at best they attract attention away from you, and at their worst they get mobs to come visit and also suicide.
As far as snow biomes needing help, I totally agree, as well as it might be fun to have snow golems spawn once in a while. not sure if defense is the right call though. Maybe if they spawned in villages rarely and on the outskirts and then wandered off to die by mobs might be interesting. It's like they made a snowman for fun and then it came to life and tried to kill it's self. not exactly useful to game play but funny and interesting.

If there are blocks above the main water source it won't freeze.
First of all, if this were ever implemented, the Tundra village would have to follow the same building type theme as the other Biome villages.
Unless Mojang has a fetish for incredibly ugly architecture, why?
I support this.

No, there has never, ever been a sandbox game with a story or ending... except Grand Theft Auto... and Saints Row... and Red Dead Redemption... and Crack Down... and Assassins Creed...
Why not also have mushroom houses in mushroom biomes? I'm not being sarcastic
That's a good idea. Why not start a thread about it?

Definitely want a reason to go hunting in the snow.

I'm watching you.... D___| D___|
I propose that snow villages get a special kind of snow golem that has snowballs which actually damage mobs.
That's a good idea. Why not start a thread about it?
Would iron golems still spawn in a snow village?
