Why don't you post a poll? If it's really a good idea like you say then the results would reflect that, right?

"Strong Pokémon. Weak Pokémon. That is only the selfish perception of people. Truly skilled Trainers should try to win with the Pokémon they love best."
It is in swedish because that is the official language of sweden and of Mojang. The mojang team shouldnt have to code and do voice acting in another langugae, then it would have a really bad accent.
What? Then they should get english voice-actors. Swedish may be Mojang's official language, but Minecraft's is english. Ever wondered why Swedish isn't the default language in the game?
A tip for suggesting:
Don't say 'don't like it? Don't use it' when posting a suggestion. You want to convince people to like it, not make them feel sorry for you.

No, there has never, ever been a sandbox game with a story or ending... except Grand Theft Auto... and Saints Row... and Red Dead Redemption... and Crack Down... and Assassins Creed...

I intend for Notch, Jeb and Dinnerbone themselves to do the voice acting themselves. For an authentic feel, they code the game, they do the voice acting.
I strongly urge you to put up a poll. Set it up like this:
- I support voice-acting in Minecraft!
-I support it, but I want to know some more about the idea
-I don't care
-I do not support this, but I want to know more about it
-I do not support this at all.
If the majority vote for the lowest option, then you know to discontinue this idea. If they vote for higher options, then keep on trying. Let the community show you what they want. Numbers don't lie.

Voted no because of the annoyance, being unnecessary, being language unfriendly and developper complication.
Also, since you're losing our trust in you being taken serious...
...Read this, as this is going to be a SERIOUS important piece of advice:
Please rethink and reflect your suggestions. Over and over, I see futile suggestions, far unrealistic, far under/-overpowered, or doesn't fit in the actual game at all. Those topics, as you call as being 'supported', are being filled with flamers and bashers, and you are losing the trust of your readers for being taken seriously, so pondering to make a 'proper' concept of suggestions would be extremely recommended.
Help for those suggestions can be found --> here <--.
If you ignore that and just carry on, it's inevitable that action will be taken.

Um, what? That's just so stupid...
How does Mojang doing the voice acting make the game authentic? If anything it takes away from the feel.

Right. So jeb will have to stop programming to say out loud... Over 10,000 words and variants of words and letter sounds, names etc. around 5 times each to get it right?
Plus, what about acronymns, names etc.?
Voice:
Hey guys, how R U doing tee-day?
Double-You-Tee-Ef!
(In Swedish)
Plus, villages are VILLAGES. Not marketplaces.
Also, CHAT SPAM. It would be annoying listening to the chat in the exactly same voice.

Just face it: will NEVER be implemented,
Will Never Work: Horrible Idea
Even thought it has a low chance of being implemented, could you look past that and review the actual idea? And ignore Jebs time allocation to this project, its irrelephant
minecraft doesnt need voice acting. its just another things that would have chances of bugging out and causing problems. as far as on servers so thats just down right stupid. the more crap that the server needs to sent out will just lag the game even more. i dont care if there is an option for turning it on and off. no support at all
Would be gender neutral, language neutral and not offensive in any way.
Personally i feel that Mojang and Minecraft need to grow up and stop pandering to young children. Imagine the possibilities if creepers and other hostile mobs could swear and be abusive, it would add a whole new gameplay element to the game.
This topic was dead for 2 weeks! Why was it brought back?
Gypsy, I think the community has agreed that voice acting is a BAD idea. Re-read the entire thread...it's painfully obvious that this idea is not good.

"Personally i feel that Mojang and Minecraft need to grow up and stop pandering to young children." This game was made for everybody that INCLUDES CHILDREN
" Imagine the possibilities if creepers and other hostile mobs could swear and be abusive" That would be annoying just seeing a skeleton come up to you and keep repeating "[profanity="[profanity="shit"]"]" "Balls" e,c,t
" it would add a whole new gameplay element to the game." HOW THE [profanity="[profanity="fuck"]"] would it add a new gameplay element into the game? sound doesnt make a gameplay element

Ok Delthyo.
I would encourage everyone to vote on the poll.

Well how doesnt it make it more authentic? I'd rather have Jeb voice act it than you for example. It gives the game a real Mojang feel this way.

I'd say... A year for common words? Then a half decade or so for less common words, names and chat talk.
What about for villagers?
