While the tree design looks cool, it doesn't look like a willow tree to me. Mainly, its because of this "double leaf canopy" thing, while real willows' leaves usually meld into a single canopy. Google some images...
A quick revive to my favorite suggestion is in order. What would you guys like the height of these to be? Willows can be very tall. They can also be shrubs in chaparrals like the ones in California. However, that doesn't really fit the whole veiw of minecraft, and this is a swamp biome, not a chaparral. So it's up to you guys to decide. (hope you understood what I meant XD )
As you can see like jungle trees I included two sizes, one very large one regular. I can't believe this post is a still alive!

I get what you mean but it's impossible to do that with minecraft textures without it looking horrible.
why are the leaves different? (even on the normal swamp trees :/ ) and if there are any roots (logs at the bottom for which I think their intended to be) they shouldn't all be pointing up but mostly outwards (suggesting that they've grow from the tree).
and then there's that daunting question: do we need more wood? well in this case I find it expectable for the mossy-ness sets it apart quite well and can add to spooky builds (perhaps even witch huts!), and nevertheless it is a beautiful tree.
I can't find anything wrong with this, besides the leaves which is a quick fix. SUPPORT an a 1 up to you

While I respect your opinion, there isn't anything complicated about the idea.
Constantly evolving, reaching further heights.
Also,Terrafirmacraft has a cool willow design:
