Gettin' kinda silly here, cuz Notch did explain he would add one more dragon, the red dragon, which it's egg, and the portal home. Right now, our old ID 122 egg has no use but a trophy.
Wither Dragon Health: 100 (50 hearts) Armor: 12 (6 full bars) Attack Strength: 10 (5 hearts) plus wither effect, No ramming effect Spawning: One per meteor crater Extreme Weakness: Sharpness-enchanted swords Size: Slightly bigger than the Ender dragon Details: The wither dragon spawns in meteor craters (Holes in the ground). They will always be flying around the crater unless they spot a player. It attacks players on sight until they move far away from the crater. It will attack you with fireballs from far range, and by breathing acid on you in close range. The acid has a range of 10 blocks and will immediately give you wither, increasing the effect in longer exposure and cause you to be weakened for the time you are exposed to it. The particles cannot go through blocks unless they are see-through. The dragon can breath fire for ten seconds before it must rest for a minute. All of its body is protected by magic, however constant damage will temporarily break the shield, taking twenty seconds to repair, and this is all armor so it will get hurt with the shield on still. Swords enchanted with sharpness do quadruple damage. Eggs: The egg spawns when the wither dragon is killed with a 1/10 chance. This egg will hatch in six days if it is on soul sand. When it hatches, a baby wither dragon will appear. The baby wither dragon will require diamonds and time to grow. After the baby grows (40-70 diamonds and 2-8 days depending on how many diamonds given), it will become yours. Tamed Dragons: You can tame raised wither dragons. What you need to do is give the dragon a nether star. After this happens, the heart particles will appear. To ride the wither dragon you must give it a dragon saddle. To fly, hold down the forward button on your keyboard. Left and right turn the dragon, and back makes the dragon slowly fly backward. If you don't hit anything the dragon hovers in place until you move. You can fly a wither dragon for around fifteen minutes, and then it will slowly get slower and drop. You cannot fly again until you feed it with bones (random amount between ten-eighteen pieces). Drops: A wither dragon drops 4-12 scales, 2-9 teeth, and 0-3 gold ingots

This is a good idea. I will implement something like this.
And also... 200th Reply!
There is only 1 dragon- the EnderDragon. Minecraft is int an RPG game, this thread is redundant.
Locked.
Your reply doesn't make any sense. This is a suggestion thread. Just because there is more than one dragon doesn't make anything an RPG game.
But imaginary +1 for scaring me into thinking my thread was locked.
I noticed in the "nether lairs" section it describes nether lairs as spawning in taiga and ice biomes. Unless that's what you intended, you might want to fix that.
tamed dragons cannot ever breathe fire. This is accurate, correct?
Also, I would like to make a suggestion or two. First, why not remove iron from the list of things you can tame dragons with? 15 iron bars to tame a dragon really isn't very much (although neither is three diamonds). Also, if I had a diamond for every five iron ingots, I would be a rich man. Another thing against iron is that I've never heard of a dragon that likes iron. It's always gold and jewels. Anyway, that's not a good reason, it's only if you're big on "traditional" dragons.
Second, why not have dragons fly around their lair at day, just roaring and maybe eating a cow or something? They could spend all night in their cave. Inversely, they could fly around at night, and sleep/stay inside during the day. I think it would be cool to see a dragon flying around in the distance, and perhaps feel a bit wary of venturing in that direction.
Third, why not keep the suggestion simple? The lock and key don't have all that much to do with the dragons (they could be their own topic), and the addition of new armor and weapon are probably going to scare quite a few people away. Are the armor and weapon even necessary? A whole bunch of potion ingredients, a fun fight, an accomplishment, and diamonds and/or gold; isn't that enough? The dragon arrow is probably the worst, although I want you to be sure that I don't think any of the ideas are really that bad. Fire arrows? We don't need that!
Fourth and lastly, (I know you're not going to like this) why have dragons be tamable? Can't they just be fun to fight? Having a ride-able dragon would just change so much of minecraft; having a new mob to fight would just add fun and would probably not be too upsetting. If an un-tame-able dragon (or dragons) were added, you could work towards expanding them into what you want then, but not before.
I like your idea, you obviously put a lot of effort into it. I want to support, I just... can't. Perhaps you shouldn't heed my advice, and you should keep expanding your topic. Perhaps it will all be implemented, and glorious dragons will fly around blocky mountains with players on their back. If that happens, forgive me for my narrow-mindedness. I just can't see what you do.
Edit- I just saw the wither dragon, and I don't like it. It's too much, we don't need four dragons (also, the wither dragon is just bad)! I would love this if it were simpler!

Okay, there are some good things I will fix because of what you said. I just added the armor and stuff because I want dragon scales and teeth to have some uses. But I will fix.
Just no on the Wither Dragon, your taking two bosses and smashing them together into an 'ultimate boss'. That's just Mojang telling the community "We've run out of ideas, so we're combing 2 bosses to make the ULTIMATE BOSS OF DOOM".

I'm glad you got some use out of what I said, not necessarily because I think my ideas are better; I'm just glad you thought it over again.
Now, I hate to bring this up, but there are still some things I would like to know. I take it you didn't like my suggestion about the iron, wither dragon (it seems other people share my opinion), or the whole tame-able part? What about the fire breathing, can tamed dragons breathe fire? One last thing: could I get you to rethink the eggs?
Sorry to bother you so much. Perhaps I should make my own thread? No, probably not.
Something Something
I know, but for spawn places you listed it as spawning in Extreme Hills and Snowy Hills, not Hell.

I am editing the iron now.
Completely redo it, just changing the name and texture isn't making it a different mob.
