Info:
The moss golem is a golem that is three blocks high, and two blocks wide. It can be crafted by the player. It is a combination of iron, mossy cobblestone, and oak wood. They look like iron golems in shape. When created they follow you around and fight mobs. But, their eyes light up when they are above a dungeon, or near a jungle temple. When they die a tree generates where they die, if possible.
Health and Atacking:
Moss golems have 70 health (35 hearts). Their attack strength is 5 (2.5 hearts)-15 (7.5 hearts). They still attack by throwing you, and you would get hurt by fall damage. They attack any aggresive mob, besides the Ender dragon. They do not attack neutral mobs, not even Endermen. When you punch something, though, they will attack it.
Crafting:
You craft a moss golem like this:
Special Abilities:
Moss golems have two special abilities unique to this mob. When they are above a dungeon, or near a jungle temple, their eyes will light up, showing that they have some connection with the two places. Also, when they die, a tree generates where they die. Note this will only happen if the ground and area is able to support a tree.
So this is only the beggining of this thread. I am adding a lot more. So please support and comment!
Iron Golem ripoff, no really unique points. Redundant. Dungeons are all over the place horizontal-wise, so half the time the golem will be lit, rendering this function pretty useless. And how do you make it? You just said pictures are coming, but honestly this isn't fleshed out enough.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
I haven't even bought MineCraft, I don't have the money...
No. The only golem I've ever supported was the gold golem, because the OP actually put time and effort into his post. This is a five minute idea at best.
I have seen this suggested before, along with many other of your suggestions - with much more detail, too. Please read the sticky before making a suggestion in future!
Wow, you do have to sound special. This was my last suggestion for a while.
By the way, I researched all over the forum AND google, and couldnt find anything.
I have to sound special? Making a few suggestions a month would be normal, not 6 a day. Besides, this golem idea of yours, aside from the tree spawning when it dies (which seems to be pointless), it has no special features and is like any other golem idea.
It follows you around and doesn't defend villagers. It also detects dungeons and jungle temples.
Ok I edited the thread. Just to let everyone know, it is not an iron golem rip-off, and if you say that what about the gold golem?
This was going to be a jungle temple guardian, but the paths are not reall big enough for it. Should I make it that idea and remove crafting it?
The fact it takes 2 iron blocks, a pumpkin, 2 oak wood, and 2 mossy cobble is not expensive enough for this.
35 hearts, it follows you around, and it can detect dungeons. Sounds like it sound cost more to make.
This doesn't have to be your "last suggestion for a while" unless you use the search properly and shoot for something more original. Despite the fact that we have two golems already and don't need a third, there's not much place and balance for your idea:
Don't have them throw things in the air like Iron Golems, that's cheap, and will just make people call your idea a ripoff even more.
Don't make them look like Iron Golems. Again, that's gonna give you more "ripoff" comments. Changing the texture a bit =/= originality.
So this follows you around and kills hostile mobs for you? That won't work. That's overpowered and would make the taming of wolves useless.
The "eyes light up when near a dungeon" thing is also overpowered and not needed. Leave finding dungeons to the players. Mob grinder traps can be made upon finding Mob Spawners, and these Moss Golems make that job even easier.

Dude... Yes, your idea is an Iron Golem ripoff. That's barely even arguable. You took the Iron Golem, kept his attack style, kept his shape but altered his texture and kept the same craft blueprint. The only original thing in the idea is that it finds dungeons, which is not needed. You need to think of every possibility of gameplay and balance when you come with an idea like this.

This could potentially force spawn a tree where it doesn't fit or where there is no dirt.

What is this idea then? Please explain how you are going to make this original and nerf its powers.
No, not really.
That link doesnt show any Moss Golems
That doesn't matter? It shows we got enough "new golem" threads. And the low originality of this idea isn't far from those other threads.
