I think we should have modifiers for different weapons on different enemies. For instance:
Swords (stone, iron, diamond) have a 15% chance of instakilling skeletons because they are made of only bones ( I mean you hit between the bones.)
Zombies might trip while jumping up a ledge.
Ghasts should have a hovering movement
Blazes and Lava Slimes make iron swords hit as hard as gold because they melt.
Each mob has a weakness
would swords will sometimes splinter, lowering their durability but granting a critical hit.
YOU CAN USE XP TO UPGRADE YOUR SKILLS
you can reinforce weapons and all tools
slimes leavwe a goo trail that acts like a propellant, xcan be destroyecd instantly, and can be set on fire.
Pigmen can sprint
I saw a mod that said it gave skeletons 7-14 arrows and when out, would try to retrieve them. It also gave them a sword, though I feel a dagger would be better.
One final thing- Be able to sneak up on mobs better.
I believe these will add more variety to combat.
Please feel free to leave new ideas and criticize/agree with some of my changes.
I feel this would kinda make the game a little too easy, and that crits are already in the game, so adding in another source of them would **** **** up. zomibes tripping would be nice to see, but again, that'd make an easy to kill thing even easier. mobs do already have a weakness too, it's me, and you, and that guy, but not him, her and her dog are

I agree, but I would like to counter the easyness by making their normal speed faster than yours, slightly more health, better patrolling ui, and, as above, special attacks that you have to dodge, or they severly injure you and push you back.
Above-averagely hot fire temperature: 2700 ºF (We can assume that Blazes are of extremely high temperature if they can shoot fireballs)
Carbon subnitride flame: Over 9000 ºF (literally)
ARGUMENT IS INVALIIIIIIIIIID! Everything dies in a fire! Yaaaaaaaaaay!
The only things I like are the sprinting zombiepigs and skeletons wielding swords as well as bows.

Sorry, I didn't do much research before I posted. Maybe swords should just glow when exposed to that heat. Although, to be fair, It must be pretty hot in the nether to begin with. Whether you knew those off the top of your head or looked them up, thank you for telling me.
Yes, I looked them up. When I saw only iron burning I was all like "hey, that's not right". I was originally looking to support keeping iron as strong as it is when fighting blazes, and then I decided to check the temperatures of everything else (I DID know, though, that diamond burns). And then I found out that Iron is actually the most resilient of all the material types...
I personally think that zombies should get movement buffs, though, not nerfs. Zombies are easy as heck to outrun, anyway.

Did something happen to you in your childhood to give you this unreasonable fear of rutabaga?
1. Zombies might trip while jumping up a ledge.
2. Ghasts should have a hovering movement
3. Each mob has a weakness
4. slimes leavwe a goo trail that acts like a propellant, xcan be destroyecd instantly, and can be set on fire.
5 .Pigmen can sprint
6. I saw a mod that said it gave skeletons 7-14 arrows and when out, would try to retrieve them. It also gave them a sword, though I feel a dagger would be better.
7. Be able to sneak up on mobs better.
1. It would have to be rare. But I don't see it getting added, as the player would also have to have a chance to trip, and that would make the game un-fun. No
2. I thought they already did? Anyway, this would be a great idea, but it is not 'combat changes'. Yes
3. Like what? You might need to specify some examples.
4. My favourite. That would be aweomse in my opinion. It would act like oil or something, instantly catching alight! YES
5. It would make the nether more harder, add more challenge, and make you think before attacking the pigmen. Yes
6. The skeletons should have more than just 14 arrows (at least 40), and a animation of it drawing the arrow and bow would be really cool. And the collection idea does seem acceptable. I mean, come on, we run out of arrows, and so should they. Yes
As for the dagger, it should take it out when out of arrows, and trying to retrieve them. If we get to close to it, it will attack us, before trying to collect the arrows. And will start shooting again when it's got at least 10. Yes
However I don't think skeletons should spawn with a dagger alone. No
7. On easier difficulties maybe. If they aren't looking your way, then they will not see you. But on harder difficulties, they should stay the same way. So yes and no

I do, but it's the Connections to the bones that are weak to a sharp iron blade. A sharp cleave could break them.
Iron melting point: 2795 ºF
Granite (stone) melting point: 2219 ºF
Gold melting point: 1948 ºF
Diamond burning point: 1472 ºF (Yes, diamonds burn, they're carbon silly)
Wood burning point: Seriously?
Above-averagely hot fire temperature: 2700 ºF (We can assume that Blazes are of extremely high temperature if they can shoot fireballs)
Carbon subnitride flame: Over 9000 ºF (literally)
