So with this Golem, you would make him similarly to making Iron Golem, 4 blocks them Pumpkin. Except you use Gold Blocks instead. He wold look like an Iron Golem except be Gold, have Red eyes, and no vines on his body.
What he would do. He would be aggressive to everything. Even you. Only if he could see you however. If there is a chicken near by, he will attack it. A creeper, he will attack it. Your near by, he'll attack you. He will attack the nearst mob or you. But he can only see 20 blocks away.
And he will attack the same way as Iron Golems. Slowly walking around, then run up to his enemy and attack with his arms. He will have slightly less health and attacking strength though.
20 blocks is more than any mob can see except for ghasts, endermen, and spiders.
Also... we don't need any more golems, specifically because this golem is pretty much the SAME thing as iron golem.
Why would anyone in their right mind build something that would kill them!?

I find the lack of turtles in your thread disturbing
Taking the Iron Golem and making him gold isn't innovative. Not to mention we get too many golem suggestions already. Also, why would I ever want to create one of these things if he might attack me a second after I created him? Why does it attack chickens? The ability for this golem of yours to fight Creepers only causes the attacked Creeper to explode in vengence and sap away a lot of the Golem's health, if the Creeper fights back and survives long enough.

Hey, you there. Yes, you! Are you thinking about posting a suggestion on the forums anytime soon? If so, please read this before doing so.

It would be great for SMP. He will attack anything he see's. Pretty much the only mob that does that. You can build him in somebody's house. Run away. And he will attack anything that moves.
And should the attack range be less then 20 blocks?

OH NOES, the griefer got in my house and built a gold golem. Most mobs have a 16 block sight.

Not practical, and "why build something that would just kill you" is right. Also keep a cat with you to keep creepers away. Gold is fairly rare and has other uses TBH.

Just for laughs. Also, You could make it with pistons (It would have to be able to be built upside-down/in reverse of the iron golem [Starting with the pumpkin, and using pistons to put the gold blocks in place) Also, it would be entertaining on a SMP for gladiator combat against iron golems. (Plus, instant gambling)

Ohey, let's add useless filler content FOR LAUGHS!
No. How does something protect you when it will relentlessly attack you? That's like having the option of having a security guard, but instead paying a armed robber to "protect" your house.
I know, it would be scary. You go home, open your door and see a really big run running at you.
A run running at me? I hope a jump doesen't jump on me, too!
Ahem. Anyway, your idea doesen't seem practical because your gold golem would probably kill you before you even got back out of their house, then they'd see him in the window, open a 1-1 hole in the wall and shoot arrows in and kill it. You just gave them all your items.
At least make it so they won't attack YOU when you build them. Why would you want them to attack you? I can see for defense in SMP, but it's kinda pointless if it tries to kill you too.

Why does everyone think I don't have an avatar? Is there anyone who can see the one black pixel.
Please click the dragons, they need to grow. Also, my fully grown dragons can be found in my bio.
Even ignoring that, OP, redundant, what everyone else said. No support. :/
