Then when you spawn at the nether you can die and keep respawning like your really in hell or something... Maybe add like a torture type room in hell where you spawn there and monsters also spawn to attack you. You would have to fight your way out of the dungeon and everything because the walls of it would be bedrock...
Anyways, it should just remain as-is. You're very likely to benefit more from spawning in the Nether.
Edit: The room idea sounds ridiculous, while not exactly the most kid friendly, I'd rather not have a room where you get beaten to death for dying, doesn't that just kill the point?
This is really pointless. There's nothing in the nether, and death makes you drop your crap. This would just make players delete their saves instead of the game doing it for them. You could only build with glowstone gravel and soul sand.
No, That would ruin the WHOLE point of Hardcore. It is like Terraria's Hardcore, except you loose your character and can turn into a Ghost to explore the land you died in Hardcore Mode, Then you say goodbye to your character. Similar, but not exactly similar to Minecraft's Hardcore. And let's just keep it is.
This is flawed because assuming the player has a Nether portal in the Nether, they can always get back to the Overworld. That and it just sounds like a unnecessary idea.
Also, it would ruin the whole point of Hardcore Mode.
One chants out between two worlds: "Fire - Walk with me."
Just build **** in there.
Place a chest with diamondds and stuff....
