Cauldrons are infinite water sources when filled with water and original infinite water sources aren't removed (I have a nifty looking well that is pretty useful yet astheticly pleasing). Done.
Ah. And iron golems are hostiles, are they? And. . . somehow cauldrons can defeat them? That's kinda weird.
Iron Golems are neutral except to non slime/magma cube/ender dragon/creeper/ghast hostile mobs.
And I was talking about how I had another suggestion on how these golems can kill the mobs with style. This post is purely about cauldron use.

The OP was being shamefully snide to another person's post so I can understand your confusion.
I agree that Cauldrons lack a good use right now, but I don't approve of your attention tactics nor your idea for how to make them useful.

It was my own post -.- Also I feel really bad now knowing that I made someone unhappy through my post :sad.gif:

I do not like your current idea D: but I DEFINITELY AGREE cauldrons are 100% useless right now and need to have use. Maybe we could make it so that bottles cant just take water from water blocks so you HAVE to use them.

Perhaps like boiling water to purify it? It's possible, not terribly convenient though. Perhaps we make it essential to the potion process. As of now, to make any potion worth making (aka has actual effects) you have to first make an awkward potion with nether wart. Maybe it should be made so you add the nether wart to the cauldron and bottle the potion from there as a primer potion (which is essentially what the awkward potion is, a base potion from which other potions are created).
Potion making works just fine using only the brewing stand. Trying to shoehorn the cauldron in just because it's a cauldron is throwing hiccups into an otherwise streamlined process.
If the cauldron gets a use, it should be for something completely different.

Your right, lets see...
How about, you put water into it, then the spotted and brown mushrooms to make 3 bowls of mushroom soup? Right clicking with a bowl fills it up. You could make fish stew perhaps as well, beef stew, chicken soup. The advantage of making a stew rather than eating raw ingredients is you get more servings and it could be a communal thing where you make a vat of stew and when people need some they get a bowl full.
I'm not sure if this has been suggested before so I apologize if I'm stepping on someone's brain child.

It`s the only way to store water in the nether, so it isn`t 100% useless.
I agree that it should have more uses though. It could fill with water when it rained maybe.
