Due to the recent spike of interest of new ores after Jeb's twitter post; I have thought of an idea for Copper, the new ore. More information about new ores can be found at: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1029192-new-ores/
Batteries would be right-clicked on places such as buttons / powered rails to make them "activated" indefinitely until broken.
Flashlights would provide a circle of light in viewing range and emit light equal to a redstone torch all around which right-clicked.
