I want Mojang to add overworld pigmen to the game who use iron swords and drop iron nuggets. (they will drop 1 to 3 iron nuggets when killed.) They will be more intelligent, almost like raiders in single player, and they will grief whatever is in the way of getting to you if their pathfinding fails, which is what will make them different from zombies. Zombies should not drop iron :sad.gif: And them dropping iron swords and helmets is pretty overpowered in my opinion.
On medium mode, overworld pigmen will grief blocks, swapping to iron tools, to get to you. (rare unless you hide in your house, because of pathfinding.) This is not as overpowered as it sounds: all it means is that if a pigman tries to attack you, and then you go into your house, he will enter in any way he can. It doesn't mean that he will smash through adventure maps to get to you (unless you hide/place blocks) and it does not mean that if a pigman sees you through glass in your house that he will grief your windows and house.
On hard mode, they will steal from chests. Pigmen who steal from chests will drop everything they stole when they died, they will not steal from generated chests, (chests that players have not touched, i.e. dungeon and mineshaft chests) and pigmen who have stolen loot will not despawn. They will also carry large sacks over their shoulders and move slower, which signifies that they have stolen something from you or another player. If a sack carrying pigman sees you, he will either run away or attack you, depending on his health, but either way, he will drop the sack. Break sacks to open them and make the items drop out.
Pigmen will always spawn in groups of at least 3.There has to be at least 1 pigmen to protect the one who is thieving. :tongue.gif:
When they add testificate guards, testificate guards and pigmen should have wars. Pigmen will try to raid villages in small parties, but usually fail. However though, they might get lucky sometimes... D:
And if you want some minecraft mythology, pigmen go to the Nether (comparable to Hell) when they die for being so murderous, and are punished by having to use weak soft gold swords to fight and being ugly and undead. There won't be any coding that actually puts pigmen in the nether whenever you kill an overworld pigman though, that would be too complex.
I don't really know if this will be added to the game, as Notch always doesn't add stuff like that unless he really likes it. But this might be made into a mod, nice idea.
Iron comes in nuggets? Huh. I had to Google that one. Frankly, I think they should completely do away with nuggets and just make everything give ingots (gold and iron aren't exactly hard to find), but maybe that's a discussion for another day.
I do like the idea of having regular pigmen, though; I've always been an advocate for it.

They could call it iron chunks, and to be honest I would prefer this much more. However though, I said "nuggets" so people would quickly understand that its the iron equivalent of gold nuggets. :tongue.gif:
I approve of the general thing buuut I don't like the idea of them stealing from chests much... perhaps they could eat bits of crops or kill off animals? Eating mah wheat would be a lot less annoying than walking of with a stack of diamonds or something...
If you have good lighting in your home, pigmen will never appear and steal your stuff. :wink.gif: If they did, they'd be easy to hear and catch. And of course, you can kill the pigman and get back the stack of diamonds.
Just mine iron instead of adding a ripoff of zombie pigmen. Honestly, there would be no point.
IMO, zombie pigmen are a ripoff of regular pigmen, and saying that is like saying that souls are a ripoff of humans. :dry.gif: There WOULD be a point, it would make iron a renewable resource (without being so overpowered) while making the game have a new challenge.

Regular pigmen were never implemented so your opinion is invalidated. Souls are entirely different from humans and that comparison was stupid.
Iron doesn't need to be renewable. Not everything has to be renewable. Go mine more and stop being so lazy. And what challenge? Killing isn't a challenge in this game. Neither is getting iron.

Yes, killing MOBs is very easy and so is mining iron, but don't you don't think that a MOB who griefs your house and steals your stuff is a challenge? Have you played with a mod that does that?
It'd be nice if iron was renewable though, why shouldn't it be renewable? Its also funner to get iron from MOBs instead of from having to mine. MINING IS SO BORING. :sad.gif:

Jeb is in charge, not Notch. :tongue.gif:
Yeah, I don't think pigmen should be villagers either. I prefer the idea of them being like bandits.
Good idea, anyway.

Then play a different game. Are you ****ing serious?
