My suggestion for Minecraft would be to add a jaguar mob unique to the jungle biome, which is supposed to come out in Minecraft version 1.2.0. It would be a hostile mob that would only spawn at night/ in the dark, and wouldn't burn in day (but would despawn like creepers). It would run slightly faster than the player (similar to spider)and would be slightly larger than a wolf. Also similar to the wolf, it would attack peaceful jungle mobs. I have no preference on health or damage dealt by the jaguar.
I would probably want it a bit different than just a wolf. As for drops, possibly alchemy ingredients or some sort of jaguar fur for some armor. Who knows? Just depends on what is new to the jungle in 1.2.0
natural real life animals = passive
imaginary baddies = dangerous
or at least that's how notch wanted to keep it, it may change now that jeb is lead developer.
That is a good point... well, I guess that explains the absence of bears :laugh.gif: Maybe the jaguars could be more neutral? I dunno, I do hope, though, that Jeb decides to add more "natural predators"
IS that a mod or texture pack. That can't be real can it?
It's real alright, and they also turn into black and white household cats after taming :/.Niice, we already have ocelots, but it would be nice to have a bigger cat in the game.

I think that sounds cool. It would probably be harder to tame than wolves, though. What about breeding?

Except that wolves are dogs, jaguars are cats... Shorten the snout, streamline the body... :dry.gif:
Specifically, those are Ocelots.
Freaking. Adorable.
