Every time I have tried to jump onto another characters head in a first person shooter it has worked. I haven't tried it in Minecraft but I have seen a video of a human going right through a Ghast he was trying to ride.
I think being able to stand on mobs would be awesome. Especially skeletons, they'd probably never hit you!

So I was working on this really cool resource pack a while ago, but bad progress nonwithstanding, I think I found something much better... I'm probably gonna never release another custom Minecraft map.Until we meet again...
Better collision detection with mobs would be awesome. You could make bridges of pigs, jump across a sea of zombies, ride a ghast, or more. The possibilities would be endless. It would also open up the possibility for some sort of mob (perhaps for skylands if that is still planned) that could be used as a platform.

Minecraft makes me feel like I'm three. Playing with blocks and afraid of the dark.
I want this so that when I am ghast hunting I can run off cliffs and lang on them, hacking at their heads.
I tried it once, killed the ghast, and fell past and when I landed I was of 1/2 a heart, I'll be damned if it didn't look cool as heck, though!
