So obviously this has been suggested before, but what I'm asking is if this was added into the game by default, wouldn't this lower the demand for new things within updates? The devs wouldn't have to deal with the thousands of suggestions about how someone wants popcorn blocks or some ****.
So the mod maker would be a in game option with a nice looking GUI. It gives you an option as to what you want to make. Clearly, it wouldn't cover everything, but the basic sections would be, food, blocks, mobs, items, ores and miscellaneous which would cover things like drops from mobs and blocks and such. In food, you would be given the option as to what size the object would be, you could import your sprite for it, and set the amount of food ticks it would fill. For blocks, set what it drops, itself or an or of some type, its durability, what level of tool is needed for it, and what layer the block could be found on. There would be a subsection in that category for tree's. For mobs, same deal as food, but you can set whether they are aggressive or passive, and what they drop, and sound affects. For miscellaneous, you could make drops and other things that might not go into the other categories. For items, size, sprite, durability, and what it can be made from. Not sure what to do about special objects though. For ores, set what they can be smelted into or made into.
SO obviously, this wouldn't be the easiest thing to do, but it might make the job easier for developer's and would allow users who have no knowledge of modding be able to make mods.

Colored text indicates in-character statements/actions. Because Forum Games has basically just been a big open RP for a long time now and it's the only place I ever post anymore, when I post at all.
Yeah, but we're not sure whether it's going to be like what the OP said, or if it's just a program that makes mods not crash with updates and not require editing the .jar

<Insert Einstein quote here> <Insert mod/texturepack/skinshop/server/clan banner here> <Insert favorite posts here>.....As you can see, I procrastinate a little too much
