Currently NPC Villages are just small building with a farm or two. There only use is to mine the materials or make a shelter for the night. NPC Villages should vary based on the biome.
This would be more fun and would give a purpose to exploring. Also the Villages should have better houses not just cobblestone squares with wooden roof. The villages should all have walls around them too. It would also be nice to see a better chunk generation for cities so that they don't have underground houses and cracked paths. Does anyone else agree?

Winter Biome-

I Kinda Like It, It Would Be Cool, But A Few Things Changed. My Faves Are The Mushroom Village And The Underwater Village. Maybe Different Styled Villagers As Well? Like Eskimos For Snow Villages Ect.
Ya I was thinking of more villagers but held back cause there already are like 5
That sounds cool and lol at your comment about swamp biomes :biggrin.gif: . And adding onto that, I think that villagers need a lot more A.I. like some of the more popular mods have. I think that you should be able to talk and exchange items with them.
i would like to keep testificates, but also i would like more species of villagers. like you can find a village thats made up of pigmen, humans, or testificates. The only problems i have with the swamp biomes is that boats break when you hit a lillypad and the moving from one biome to another is to intense

Maybe some primitive interaction but not exactly like Tale of Kingdoms thats a little out there...

Nice, also, maybe there should be a fishing docks village, it's floor would be made up of planks and it would be held up with fences, to give a dock-ish feel. It would be inhabited by pigmen/people wearing sailor/pirate clothing, they would hold fish and fishing rods and they would be able to sell fish to you if notch/jeb gives them the AI to sell. Also, swamps should not be removed, they actually look cool as of 1.0.0, but they shouldn't have villages.

True, the villagers need to be smarter. As of now they have the same AI programming as a pig :sleep.gif:

Hmm... IDK, it might overcomplicate things, but I think NPCs need better AI and the villages need guards. I shouldn't be able to waltz about killing them without them caring.
Also change the villagers to look like the player, they don't even look like villagers
NO
Do you know how it would feel to find a village of people in minecraft only to find that they look exactly like you?
If you want to see lots of Steves, go play MC classic

Not Exactly like the player, but you must agree they look odd
If anything, add more varying houses. I don't think biome specific houses will be added, any time soon that is. Same with biome specific terrains. Also, I don't really think Notch has time to read the forums anymore. He used to, when there was like 100,000 people with the game.

You don't think swamps are ugly?
True, the villagers need to be smarter. As of now they have the same AI programming as a pig :sleep.gif:
I agree, swamp biomes should not be removed, they do look a lot better as of 1.0.0, they just need to fix the way the biomes coloring combines.
Nice idea ill add that to the list
Yes they should be smarter and look better :smile.gif:
Oh well I still think they ruin my map, ill post a pic if you want
Thanks :smile.gif:
