So, this game mode is to be more realistic, with thirst, pressure, etc. But, since it is realistic, it still has all the attributes of Hardcore Mode.
NOTE: This thread was originally to make Hardcore Mode more hardcore. It would be better as a game mode, imo.

What should be added (A brief overview)
Anyway, so basically... this is everything realistic mode should have
-Everything Survival Has
-Locked at hardest difficulty
-When you die, world vanishes
-Hunger
-Temperature
-Pressure
-Weight
-Knockback
-Thirst (Suggested by SSN)
-Enderman Buff
What should be added (In depth)
Everything Survival Has
This is already in Hardcore mode, thus being in Realistic mode.
Locked At Hardest Difficulty
This is already in Hardcore mode, thus being in Realistic mode.
World Vanishes
Already in Hardcore. When you die, the world disappears. Since it was in Hardcore, it will be in Realistic.
Hunger
This is already in Hardcore and Survival, thus being in Realistic.
Temperature
There would be 10 little squares inside the thermometer. 1 is the coldest, 10 is the hottest.
This is the scale for damage:
Block 1 - 2 hearts every 3 seconds
Block 2 - 2 hearts every 5 seconds
Block 3 - 1 heart every 5 seconds
Block 4 - No hearts
Block 5 - No hearts
Block 6 - No hearts
Block 7 - No hearts
Block 8 - 1 heart every 5 seconds
Block 9 - 2 hearts every 5 seconds
Block 10 - 2 hearts every 3 seconds
The level is first chosen by what biome or dimension your in. This is what level it is for each biome:
Then the heat sources would come in. You can use these to make it warmer/brighter:
-A torch would make 1 bar go up on the thermometer.
-A furnace would make 2 bars go up.
-Fire would make 5 bars go up. (Not in fire, near it. Up to 10 blocks away the effect would last.)
-Lava would make 7 bars go up. (Not in lava, near it. Up to 10 blocks away the effect would last.)
If you end up in Lava or Fire:
-If your IN fire, 8 blocks go up
-If your IN lava, 10 blocks go up
Pressure
There is 127 layers in the game, btw. Layers are represented as the Y axis in the F3 menu.
There could be potions to cure this, of course.
In layer 30 and under, you take half a heart every 5 seconds
In layer 15 and under, you take a full heart every 5 seconds
In layer 100 and up, you take half a heart every 5 seconds
In layer 115 and up, you take a full heart every 5 seconds
Weight
-Your character has a weight limit of 150.
-There are potions to raise it for a certain amount of time.
-Each item has a certain weight. For example, a flower may have a weight of 1. So that would add 1 point of weight to your character.
I dont have the time, atm, to go over EVERY ITEM and assign a weight for each one, but im sure i will sooner or later.
-When your weight reaches 100, you lose the ability to sprint
-When your weight reaches 125, you start moving much slower. Idk how many blocks your character can cover in an hour, but lets say its 1000. Your character would only cover 500 at this weight.
-When youe weight reaches 150, you lose the ability to move altogether. This is why potions of swiftness would help.
Also, whenever you eat, your weight goes up 30 points for about 30 seconds. If you eat an item anytime during that time period, it resets back to thirty.
Knockback
This may already be in the game, but idk. I dont get blown up much. Anyway, when you get blown up, you get knocked back... say... 10 blocks?
Thirst
Your thirst goes down at the same rate hunger does.
-When you drink water from a bucket, it restores 3 thirst icons.
-When you drink water from a bottle, it restores 5 thirst icons.
-When you drink milk from a bucket, it restores 5 thirst icons
-When you drink milk from a bottle (IDK if it can be bottled), it restores 10 thirst icons.
-When you drink ANY potion, it restores 4 thirst icons along with its actual effect.
The reason you get more thirst restored from a bottle is because if you drank from a bucket irl, it would spill everywhere.
Enderman Buff
The same rules apply to enderman, but, it can pick up any block it wants that is placed naturally (Except bedrock, of course) but, when its hostile, it can claw through any item it wants to get to you. Natural or man-placed. Imagine how scary that'd be, eh?
If you make banners, i would appreciate if you made one for this thread!

I like the, Weight, Pressure and Temperature ideas.
Yeah, those were just too make it more hardcore. Hardcore mode could also be "Realistic" mode too. If you like, please vote in the poll. You can select more then one option.
i want all of those features in regular minecraft and if people complain about hunger because they are too lazy to hunt/farm, they should stop playing minecraft, because not everything comes easy

i love hunger tho depending on what u do it just gets tedious XD like for example mining hunger drains quicker i can get tons of food easy aslong as i can get a melon seed or tons of wheat seeds
Liked almost everything, except hunger only in Hardcore, but...
...if there's a way to fight against hunger and thirsty, there must be a way to protect against pressure and temperature. As specific clothes against pressure(as the ones divers use), sweaters, ice, and so on.

I agree completely. I didnt wanna get too far into that just yet. And personally,i think this features should all just be in survival. But, think of how much whining that would cause. This is for popular demand, becuase im pretty sure hunger makes most people unhappy. Once again, i love it. But not everyone does.
No offence, but hardcore mode is good the way it is..... what really needs to be worked on is the enderdragon and villagers. And I don't hate on hunger, so don't take it out!
I like hunger too. And hardcore is perfect the way it is. I just think it should be more hardcore. Cuz, I love a challenge, and this would serve one. Anyway, time to explain this for the... 3rd time?
The hunger is just for popular demand. Alot of people dont like hunger. I LOVE hunger, and i want all of this in vanilla game, but people would hate that.
I agree with temperature, and God knows the mobs need to be buffed even more.
What I think is too much, is the rate you would lose health in extreme temperatures. 3 hearts a second is incredibly fast. It's actually so fast that you wouldn't have time to react before you're killed. Reduce the damage to something like half a heart per two seconds and it gets a lot more playable.
Pressure is too complicated, and it would make mining diamond impossible.
Weight is also problematic in a building game like this. If you can't carry around your materials than the whole thing loses its point. I agree that you could lose sprinting if you were carrying more than 400 items, or something like that.
Amazing ideas and you really put a lot of thought into these! These are the things that we really needed in Hardcore! The Weight is definitely my favorite and I, when I have roleplaying voices in my head as I play, pretend that I have to travel light. So it'd be cool if that were implemented. It would add an actual reason to use Minecart Chests.
Lise i said, this is already in Hardcore mode, but it should be exclusive to hardcore and NOT survival.
Lol. People who complain about hunger are looking at it all wrong. As long as your hunger bar is filled, your health will regenerate. Before hunger, I had to eat something every time I took damage and hope there wasn't any trouble between me and food. Think of all the times you've taken damage and had your health regenerate because your hunger meter was full. The hunger bar actually makes the game easier and you get more health out of your food because of it. If any changes should be made, Hardcore should require you to eat to regenerate health regardless of where your hunger meter is at.

This I can agree with. A lot of RPGs have these rules i.e. Table Top RPGs like D&D or Pathfinder, Bethesda RPGs like Elder Scrolls and Fallout, and others. Along these lines I also think it'd be cool to be able to craft a backpack and have it add additional slots to your inventory.

I organized it a little more.

I was thinking the same thing about temperature. Im going to put it how pressure is and have it for every 5 seconds.
For pressure you would just sprint back to surfacee, or drink a potion.
Materials wouldnt weigh that much. Its tools and armor that would weigh alot. Overall, you could still carry most of everything.
I saw your thread. And i actually made this thread at about midnight last night, so...
I organized it more. NOthing big.
I was actually watching Man VS Wild when i thought of Temperature. Then as i made the thread i thought of the others, and SSN suggested Thirst.
I changed the temperature to where biomes are brought in to the equation, and organized the thread a bit more.
Support! Good work!
