Same here. My 1.7.3 world was perfect. I had my house on grassy green land. There was a forest behind it, and infront of the house was a perfect little beach.
I miss that world. *Kicking myself for deleting my .jar*

Retired StaffI'm apathetic about the water bedding thing. I think both are fine methods of generation, and wouldn't mind seeing them both in the future; either separate or 'mixed'. I also like that clay is a little easier to find without having to do the math. Gravel beaches are ugly, imo, but I understand why some people liked them so I'd be OK with their return. :smile.gif:

It would be interesting to see the results of your fix to this issue. If you have the time and willingness to make this, many others and I would be greatly appreciative of your efforts!
My only question is how well will your solution work? I'm wondering if it will return beaches as we once knew them prior to 1.8 as being rather large and expansive at times, or if it'll simply add a thin layer of sand in the River/Ocean biome transitions...
