It would be a good iea to be able to craft Spawners, but they will need to be hard to craft, here is what I am thinking.

Place a torch in the middle of your Crafting Table, then place Lapis Lazuli all around the Torch, you'll get a Emmpty Spawner. When you want to make the Spawner Spawn something, then, you need to take the Spawner, put it anywhere but top, then place a drop from an mob, then there you go! You get a Spawner, all made by you.

Pig Spawner: Pork
Chicken Spawner: Feather
Sheep Spawner: Wool
Cow Spawner: Leather
Skeleton Spawner: Bone
Zombie Spawner: Rotten Flesh
Creeper Spawner: Gun Powder
Endermen Spawner: Endermen Pearl
Zombie Pigmen Spawner: Cooked Pork (Not the Cooked Pork from regular pigs >.>)
Ghast Spawner: Ghast Tear
Wolf Spawner: Unknown (Reason: They drop nothing)
Snow Golem Spawner: Snowballs
Mooshroom Spawner: Mushroom

If there is any mob that is NOT from a mod (For example, Horses) post them like how I did.

By adding that, you've completed the game.

I'd like to be able to craft spawners, but without having to resort to diamonds because they're too overused in suggestions like this. There would need to be some kind of magical element to this, like ghast tears or blaze powder. And maybe it could involve lapis lazuli? It's the right color for the spawner cage and would give a currently useless material (except for decoration) another use.

It seems slightly overpowered, perhaps a durability number for how many mobs it can spawn?

No, but maybe you would need to do a more expensive recipe like surrounding the empty spawner with iron bars before placing or something.

Yes, this idea currently has rewards far too great for the amount of effort put into making the thing. Get one drop from one mob, and you'll have an infinate supply just waiting to be put in a mob grinder, which is why I think the ability to harvest spawners found in dungeons was removed.

Also, there is absolutely no difference between cooked pork from zombie pigmen and pork you got from a pig and cooked in a furnace. There is currently no way to track where the cooked pork came from, and for what you'd get out of it, I'd rather it be a gold sword to make a Zombie Pigman spawner anyway.
