When the sun comes up, all the aggressive mobs die right, as you know. But how about they flee into dark areas instead.
Example: Your hiding in your house, the sun comes up. You run out to see all the zombies and skeletons fleeing into a nearby cave, to be safe.
That way they don't just all die, then new ones just respawn. if some ran into a cave, you will know the danger lurks inside it.
Also with the passive mobs, the aggresive ones should kill them during the night.
Example: You have a farm and all your pigs are fenced off. But evil skeleton decides to raid your live stock, shooting them. calling you to defend them.
Just some basic ideas, i think it would add some addition to the game.
I don't exactly see a point in aggressive-on-passive mob combat. I mean, what point does a skeleton having killing a pig? It wouldn't eat, obviously...

This could cause a LOT of havoc, and would be fun to have in game! (If the mobs check for any block that isn't being hit by sunlight, they may end up attempting to hide in your house!

Excellent idea! Notch also said in This Blog Post that he was going to add more interactions between mobs. I hope this becomes one of them!
There would be massive piles of mobs in caves if their unexplored, which means lagg. Sorry no support :/
There is a maximum number of Hostile Mobs that can be in one area. If the maximum is exceeded, no more will spawn. Lag isn't caused by loads of mobs, anyway, lag is caused by bad internet connection.

What's the point of the Necrons wanting to kill everything? It's because the undead have a jealousy and hate for all living life forms.
It could be nice because it could show that certain mobs are trying to survive as well (Not just you or the animals) I can see it causing a lot of lag though with some issues of monsters running into the caves.

Story wise (Story lol):
The aggressive mobs are well ' aggressive' and might just attack anything living.
Game wise:
It would shutup all the baas and mooing outside your house.
It would also make the night seem more lonely, when there is no cows or sheep running around the hostile exterior.
The thing is skeletons and zombies aren't the smartest mobs and thus die from their stupidity. They could possibly go back into the ground or something, but they wouldn't run for cover. Creepers remain hostile and spiders become neutral. The most you could suggest to balance it is that zombies and skeletons avoid open areas, I hate seeing scattered hostile mobs in the desert or something, if they lurked only in the shadows of buildings, trees and caves even at night it would be more... realistic. :biggrin.gif:
Good idea.:biggrin.gif: Kudo;s to you my friend. And this wouldn't even be hard to implament eather. Just reverse how passive mobs are attracted to light. Hostle mobs are attracted to darkness. but only durring the day of course. or else. they will spawn, at night, and be attracted to caves right away.(Since caves are generally darker than the moon lit ground.

Hm... How could we fix that then...
despawn some of them maybe.
It would be kool to have big mobs of things but lag would be an issue.
Unless your computer is powered by the tears of unborn children.
sorry fail spelling

This already occurs.
Not cool bro, don't start political discussions. :dry.gif:

Yes, they should burn up still.
Thats why they run for cover.
You make a very good point mate.
cudos
No worries, and also for the hostile > passive mobs I think that should be saved for the NPC mobs.
