Well, since snowy areas and grassy areas have their own weather types, I see no reason why deserts shouldn't have one of their own - sandstorms.
This would basicly just be particles of sand blowing around, possibly blinding you however not generating enough darkness for mobs to spawn. It could make it hard to move, or slowly reduce your health, since desert sandstorms are dangerous in real life.

Nice, and maybe your fog level would be high & instead of black/grey for the fog color it could have the yellow/dark yellow shade that sand usually has :smile.gif: I like the idea, I don't know why notch think of this!

if you have your fog on far in a sand storm it would be downfogged to tiny and your screen would have a yellow ring around it
