It would be good to be able to pulverise cobblestone which you could then apply as a surface to other blocks to make a "road".
limitations: It would have the same logic as rail surfacing, so - only straight lines, 90 degree bends.
placing: placing and removing would be the same as placing rail lines and ladders - e.g. corners work the same, breaking the block it is on would pop the road off it.
benefits: improve the walk speed just a bit - not make it a "run" but enough that it's just noticable. Another benefit would be in navigation - roads and signs between your mines and house or towns (if you run mods, etc).
crafting recipie: place by itself on the 2x crafting grid and it would form a rubble pile (e.g. the icon might look similar to in the output window). Would stack like rails/ladders: up to 64.
You would then take this stack and apply it to the surface of grass, dirt, stone, cobblestone, wood or any other block that you can place ladders or rails on.

No, I will not subscribe to your channel because you asked... but I might if it's *good*.
Why pulverize cobblestone when we already have gravel? I think you should be able to just toss 3 gravel in the crafting grid in a flat pattern and it would give you 4 "gravel pathway" pieces. That way we have another use for gravel, which has no crafting uses, and it would fit what we already have.
Also, I really don't like the idea of it only working in the 2x2 grid. It would be the only one to do so, which is strange.
the semi transparency does seem like a bad idea, I was suggesting that the road have some sort of surface that doesn't quite take up the same surface size of a standard tile so you could still see that it had been placed over a dirt, grass or stone tile (like you can with ladders and rail).
2x grid was a thought since it was a reduction and such a simple recipie - simple recipies like wood, crafting grids and torches can work on 2x. 3x makes more sense if the pattern was
