hardcore is pretty hard already but these ideas will make hardcore even harder (ayoo)
1.mobs like zombies can crit,block,and run:since hardcore zombies can break doors I made them stronger and also will able too block too if they have a shield.
2.Pillager's getting smarter:when you try to block there arrows they will hold fire until,A.ravager comes,B.one will circle around you untill your back is face the rest of the pillagers or,C.you put down your shield.
3.glow squid powers:now the glow squid isn't useless now.They will use hypnotic like power to make you go follow them deeper into the ocean until you run of oxygen.you can try and look away but no the spell is too powerful.
4.bats get aggressive:if you a torch next to a bat by accident you might aggravate it they'll bite you or block your vision until you make it dark again
5.(the last one) mobs in the nether are hyper aggressive:if they spot you they will chase you down until you find a safe spot to hide or you run out of hunger the fact that they will run at you a normal sprint speed it's likely that you wear good armor and have good weapons.

This would be fair for a mod, it sounds way too hard for even hardcore. How does one get netherite armour without entering the nether?
(Also the squid one is entirely unfair).
I'm pretty sure the people vote for the glow squid because they thought it was going to add a hypnotic effect to it so sure i'll debuff it you can look away from the squid but it will try to force you to look at it,the nether one sure they will chase you for like 9 seconds.and the pillager one too they'll hold there fire for like 5 seconds.

No I don't think anyone thought that. I think they just wanted a light source underwater.
