So you know how people make "infinity rooms" in minecraft using nothing but item frames and a single colored map? If you are patient enough, you can also make some pretty cool wall paper designs with it as well, making a whole room look really good
So i thought, what if we could paint in minecraft? Basically you'd select a color from a color pallete, and paint on a piece of paper that would be the size of 1 side of a normal block. The way it would work is you'd take a crosshair and simply press the "use" button to color pixel by pixel of the painting until its all the way finished. You'd have the ability to increase the amount of pixels you are coloring in too.
Once you're done, you can make copys of the paintings, surround a block with the paintings inside of an item frame, and voila!! You've created what would appear to be a new textured block, mid game! Its much easier and faster than the alternative of using a map to make different drawings, and allow for a lot more creativity

What do you think?
I think the idea should go a little deeper. What if you have to actually craft an easel, a brush and inks untill you can actually paint?
The easel would be the "workstation" required to paint the paper. Brushes could have different shapes, maybe durability.
And the inks, that would be a motivation to gather dyes.
I have no idea about the actual recipes. And i don't say my idea is better or perfect.
I just think this feature could motivate to explore for the ressources required to start painting.
My projects:
-are abandoned for now. I might pick 'em up in the future.
For now i'm working on a private modpack that suit's my own playstyle.
I am gonna stay in modded 1.12.2 untill my potato dies. No mercy! :Q
Also, what about the glowing ink sacks or what they are called? I'm not up to date with 1.17
I think there is potential to make many ressorces more attractive.
