Add a new block: Nether magnetite ore.
It is a kind of ore generated in nether, they are generated at any height in the form of ore vein. They are as common as nether gold ore.
Nether magnetite ore requires a pickaxe to be mined, in which case it drops nothing, itself or 1 nether magnetite. When mined without a pickaxe, it drops nothing. Nether magnetite ore has a 10% chance to drop a nether magnetite and 40% chance to drop nothing when mined with any pickaxe. If it does not drop nothing or nether magnetite , it drops itself as a block. If a nether magnetite ore is mined with a silk touch enchanted pickaxe, it always drops itself.
Fortune enchantment does not increase the amount dropped, but increases the chance of nether magnetite dropping and nothing. Fortune 1 increases the chance for this drop to 20%, the probability of not dropping anything is 47%; Fortune 2 increases the chance for this drop to 30%, the probability of not dropping anything is 54%; Fortune 3 increases the chance for this drop to 40%, the probability of not dropping anything is 60%.
Nether magnetite ore cannot be smelting in furnace and blast furnace.
Add a new item: Nether magnetite
They are dropped by nether magnetite ore, can be used to craft lodestone and smelting iron ingot.
Change the recipe of lodestone:
Nether magnetite can smelt iron ingots in furnace or blast furnace, but there is a 70% chance that nothing can be smelted.
Add a new item: Netherite cube
Is an item used to upgrade the trident in the smithing table.
Add a new weapon: Abyssal trident
Is an upgraded version of trident. Its melee damage is 12 (attack speed is 1.1), and its ranged damage is 11, durability is 1525.
The difference with the trident is:
If it passes through fire or lava when thrown out, it will set the entity on fire for 5 seconds when it hits the entity;
If it is thrown into the void with loyalty's enchantment, it can still be returned to the player;
They will not be destroyed by fire and lava.
If drowneds holds abyssal trident, they can use it normally like a trident.
This trident costs 144 ancient debris. This is by far the most expensive item to exist in Minecraft. And the reward is an object worse than your standard enchanted bow.

Actually 148 ancient debris, but the projectile fired by the bow cannot travel through water, while the trident can.
I wouldn't mind more upgrades to Tridents or throwing weapons in general- but it doesn't really seem necessary to add a new ore to the Nether- particularly when the Ore described sounds a lot like a more common version of Netherite- at least in terms of aesthetics. Since Netherite is already used in the Lodestone, it seems like it ought to already have magnetic properties. Also, I don't think that there has to be a brand new item added just to upgrade the trident specifically. I'd rather see more ways of using existing content- such as new crafting recipes or enchantments, However, a Nether themed trident would definitely be interesting, and the Smithing table is certainly lacking at the moment. Perhaps simply combining Netherite with a trident on a smithing table results in the Abyssal Trident- which, if enchanted, might allow the players to get through Lava far more quickly than on a Strider? It just seems like something that expensive ought to be worthwhile, even if it only cost a single Netherite ingot.

We can't even see through lava, why riptide through lava seas?
You can build secret lava entrance to your base and stuff but lava is not water.
It should stay as an element that makes players nervous.

Instead of the netherite blocks in the crafting recipe, why not change it to netherite ingots? It would certainly make the netherite cube a lot cheaper, but still, 5 netherite ingots for a cube is pretty expensive. I also don't get why ender marrow is in the crafting recipe. I saw the post about the end respawn anchor, but why would you need end materials for something nether-related?

In the same way, why does the End Crystal recipe related to End have Ghast tear and Blaze powder related to nether? Why does the End rod recipe related to End have a Blaze rod related to nether?
1- I don't really care for the "chance for a chance for a chance" thing with magnetite. The initial "might drop itself, a block, or nothing" is okay, I would change the percentages around though. Beyond that, let's just treat it like standard ore.
2- Kind of a follow-on... I don't think we need to introduce a whole new material just for the purpose of upgrading the Trident, nor do I think changing the recipe of the Lodestone really justifies it. I think you can generate more stuff that might justify Magnetite as a new ore, but there are currently better options (like just using Netherite... more on that in a bit)
3- Not a fan of the cross-linked ideas, mostly because I wasn't a fan of the other idea involving Ender Skeletons/Ender Marrow for reasons I explain on that thread.
4- This recipe is insanely expensive. Like, astronomically so, and the Abyssal Trident, while better than the current Trident, isn't even remotely close to good enough to justify that cost.
I honestly feel that this entire suggestion can be reduced to just combining a Trident with a Netherite Ingot as we do with Diamond gear to get the Abyssal Trident... or.... make the Abyssal Trident a treasure drop! I'm strongly of the opinion that we need more rare "treasure" loot in Minecraft, and the Abyssal Trident would be perfect for that purpose. Either option there honestly works fine for me, both have ups and downs in my opinion.
In the same way, why does the End Crystal recipe related to End have Ghast tear and Blaze powder related to nether? Why does the End rod recipe related to End have a Blaze rod related to nether?
Interesting. Maybe it's because the devs at Mojang wanted the items to "lead you on your path". It's middlegame items advancing you towards the endgame. The thought process behind it when they first made it was probably, "Oh, the Nether's so boring and dangerous. Players will go only for the blaze rods, and never go again." The devs most likely wanted to circumvent this, by having the player visit the Nether in the middlegame to get blaze rods, and then revisit it again in the endgame to get ghast tears. Now, with the Nether update, the Nether is more interesting, with good loot. Players will actually want to visit it now. The crafting recipe for the eyes of ender have always been the same, so they probably didn't want to change it, as it was memorized by a lot of the community and would possibly cause an uproar as to why it was changed.
I think it's good that the ender eye requires blaze powder, as I wouldn't step foot into a fortress until I was wither hunting if I didn't need blaze powder.

Yeah. It makes it so that you have to visit every part of the game before progressing, much like a game with different levels, but without levels, at the same time.
The Abyssal trident should be absolutely O.P if it's gonna cost that much netherite. It should shoot 3 tridents at a time like multishot and have a super fast attack speed.
...I wouldn't mind more throwing weapons. Or at least more variation to the trident. I don't think this really needs to necessitate adding any other new materials to the game just for a new weapon idea. The Trident itself seems a little odd as far as weapons go- seeing as we're able to craft bows and arrows, and to obtain these throwing weapons... but we can't craft them. Of course, there's also something to be said for Tridents being a collectible item.
The Abyssal Trident would necessitate some pretty useful abilities if it were to be made from netherite or other expensive materials. However, I think it's also possible to do the opposite- and make a cheaper, craftable variant of the Trident that has the same useful combination of throwing and close range combat; in exchange for signifigantly decreased durability. ...Perhaps such a Trident could be crafted using copper.
If there was a cheaper version of the trident, (As I mentioned above), it could act as a powerful early-game weapon that breaks pretty easily after being thrown a couple of times. Maybe these tridents also have a longer reach than ordinary weapons? (I think this might already be a thing.)
Mojang is currently running some combat test snapshots, where they change random features to see how it goes. In these tests, the tridents have longer reach

Interesting. Longer weapons have longer reach, logically. I'm looking forward to the new combat tests.

Also interesting. Copper tridents would possibly shake up the early game, as copper, as seen in Snapshot 20w45a, is literally EVERYWHERE in caves. Copper is more abundant than iron, so it could be called... I really don't know.

Ok, overall interesting idea. I like the magnetite - loadstone thing.
The loadstone is still new, changing the reciepe might not have a big backlash from the community if done right.
That beeing said i don't know how the loadstone is craftet right now.
The Abyssal Trident could share some of the enchantments the trident uses but they should not have too much in common.
It should not use riptide and channeling. Both enchantments are more "stormy-ocean" thingys.
I think of it like the forks deamons wield. I could see Wither Skeletons wielding them rarely.
Also i would change the texture to a gold/black Trident. Maybe involve gold into the crafting recipe.
One more idea to the crafting recipe is that the trident must have 1 curse enchantment as requirment to be craftet into something hellish.
That would give this useles books a nice niche and make the Abyssal Trident more valuable!
If the magnetite reacts magnetic the Abyssal trident could be used to safely hit a magnetite button far away,
if not distractet by another magnetic thing near the flying path. But that sounds difficult to code.
