Remember back in the day in the days before the virus when Mojang suggested mobs right before 1.13? In the end they added a Phantom, which in my opinion, IS THE MOST ANNOYING MOB IN GAME!!!!!! I know that they are here to tell us players to sleep, but I have a mum, so... Anyway, on with point!!
One of the creatures that Jens Bergensten (Jeb) suggested was the Hovering Inferno, basically a nerfed Blaze. It would be able to use shields, and sort of acted as a MiniBoss in the Nether. I'm currently developing a mob that contains all the scrapped mobs so players can have a feel of what they could be.
Since the Nether Update is going to be released soon, and you're soon going to finish the snapshots, why not add this idea? It makes the experience in the Nether feel better, and also makes it more of a challenge to go into Fortresses, because many players don't see much of a challenge at all. The Hovering Inferno would be great, almost like the Pillager Captain, that looks different to the rest, and has more powers.
You can add more powers to it, and the special drop that it... drops, will give players another reason to actually bother to look for fortresses in this new update. Not to sound rude, but the Phantoms are just... not as good as they could be (which is an understatement). They annoy players and the membrane they drop isn't that useful. I know it's good for elytra, but... Elytra + Mending = Elytra that lasts forever (As long as you kill mobs). So what do you say? Will you add that extra bit of life to the mainly dead Nether Fortresses (Wither Skeletons - dead, Blazes - Have No Bodies, Technically Spirits that are dead). All of the players will be so happy and surprised at this amazing sight.
If someone in Mojang is reading this, why did you scrap those amazing ideas? Put them in the game!! Don't throw away the amazing ideas. They're too great to be thrown away. At least, include them in the other confirmed mobs. Those ideas were great and should be implemented into the game in some way.
Just so you are aware, on Mojang's "Previously Considered Suggestions" page, Mojang specifically states that they will not consider adding the Hovering Inferno:
Mobs from MINECON live event 2017: Also no. As stated in our MINECON Earth livestream in 2017, we will not be adding the mobs that were not selected in the mob vote. Looking at you, Hovering Inferno.

Do you realize that the Minecraft Forum is not owned by Mojang? They don't come on here at all, you should post this to Reddit or the Minecraft Feedback Site to get a (possible) response from Mojang.
Putting that aside, I love your suggestion! Although it is suggested quite a lot, and Mojang has denied adding it, I'll still always support posts that ask for it to be added! I love the Hovering Inferno idea!
Full Support!
Also, I've noticed as of writing this that you've only made 5 posts on the Forum so far. For a first time suggestion, you do have some valid points and you don't just make a bland post that only says "add this mob" or something like that. I expect to see some great ideas from you!

Hey guys I'm James, I used to be a noob but now I'm not, I finally figured out how to use TextCraft so here's a banner for one of my suggestions.
Just so you are aware, on Mojang's "Previously Considered Suggestions" page, Mojang specifically states that they will not consider adding the Hovering Inferno:
It always seems such a shame to me how harsh their yeses and nos are. Why are they afraid of leaving doors open?

The point of the vote was to incentivize people to vote. They'd pick the one they wanted the most knowing that if they didn't, it would lose and remain but a rejected idea forever.

Watch out for the crabocalypse. Some say the day will never come. But it will.
Feel free to drop by for a chat whenever.
If you'd like to talk with me about other games, here are a few I play.
Team Fortress 2
Borderlands series (Borderlands 2 is my favorite game, ever. TPS combat is a lot of fun and makes up for the lower-quality story, in my opinion)
Elder Scrolls series
Warframe (IGN is something like That_One_Flesh_Atronach)
Pokémon series (HGSS forever)
Rocket League
Fallout series
Left 4 Dead 2 (Boomer files always corrupt though)
SUPERHOT (SUPERHOT is the most innovative shooter I've played in years!)
Dead Rising series (Dead Rising 2 is one of my favorite games, and the 3rd was a lot of fun. 1st has poor survivor AI and the 4th is bad)
Just Cause series
Come to think of it, I mainly play fighting-based games.

Yes but now everyone hates the mob they added and Mojang doesn't care.

I would guess that without that list of "No's", people would constantly post the same suggestions over and over to their feedback site, and they finally got tired of having to slog through all of the repeated suggestions.
They don't come on here at all, you should post this to ... the Minecraft Feedback Site to get a (possible) response from Mojang.
Posting this idea to the Minecraft feedback site would violate their posting rules, considering that this idea is listed on their "previously considered suggestions" page which people are supposed to check before posting their idea.

If those suggestions are heavily suggested by the player base, wouldn't it be a good idea to add them?

You own a business, You are open to hearing customer offered suggestions. But it IS your business! If you tire of hearing a suggestion or maybe are averse to any particular suggestion you too could post a list of closed/never to be considered suggestions.
Mojang IS Microsoft owned; feel free to post your complaint there! It will do no good here and from what I read will get you infracted at Mojang!!! It will probably get the same consideration from Microsoft.
Do you complain to Grandma when Mother tells you no? Does it do any good to argue with Mom?
Join the military. When your supervisor does something you don't like it is within your right to complain to her/his boss; all the way up to and including the POTUS. It does no good but it's within your right to try. If you are an E2 or E3 that is probably a few hundred people you can complain to in your chain of command, good luck!

The thing is this doesn't seem like a slog to me, it sounds pretty fun actually. I always like reading suggestions on here so long as they're not out of this world.

Oh. They're not going to add it.
Why is it that the ideas that will be super amazing, they scrap them for... how can I put this ... whatever these stuff are. Some ideas were amazing, whilst others need work. I appreciate Mojang's choice but.. you know...
Can't they just add more than 1 idea at once? Instead of tossing the others into The Void, they should find a way to implement them in game. Even if the mobs themselves aren't added, at least make a kind of reference, or something that is similar.
