We want to add a car because we think it would be a very fast use of transportation during survival. For the car, you will craft tires, the car, and a paint bucket. We would like to add paint buckets to allow the player to color there car however they would like. The car can also be a place of storage.
Below are the instructions we thought would be good for making the Car.
Start with Tires. Craft the tires using the crafting table:
1) Iron Ingot in the middle row center place holder
2) 8 Blocks of Coal in all the other place holders around the Iron Ingot
**This will create ONE tire.
Next, crafting the car on a crafting table:
1) Glass Pane (any color) in the middle row center place holder,
2) 5 Iron Ingots in these place holder positions: Upper Row - left, center, and right; Middle Row - left and right.
3) 2 Tires (created above) in the lower row left and right place holders
**No item will be in the lower row middle place holder.
Last, Bucket Crafting:
1) One bucket (can be placed anywhere)
2) Any color Minecraft dye (place next to bucket)
Now, how to use the car. We only play the WiiU Edition so you can translate the buttons to other game consoles. The car can move slightly faster than a fast horse.
-To enter the car, press "ZL."
-To exit the car, press crouch/sneak button.
-To move the car, use the joystick in any direction (the car cannot jump)
-Press and hold "A" to make the car move.
-During continuous use, every five to ten minutes the car will run out of gas, ejecting the player from the vehicle. (Note: Player cannot re-enter the car unless gas is put in)
-Getting gas requires one piece of charcoal to refill the car with five to ten minutes of use time. If the player puts more than one charcoal in the car, then the minutes will continue to build up. The maximum minutes a car can drive is 60 minutes.
Storage:
The car will contain four places of storage: passenger seat, back row seats (2 seats), and a trunk. (Note: Driver seat cannot hold storage) The trunk can hold three rows of nine holding squares. The seats can hold two rows of nine holding squares (Note: If a seat has one or more items, a player my not sit in that seat) To look in the inventory of a seat, you need to press "A."
Seating:
All four seats can be occupied but the trunk is only for storage.
Drifting:
When in the car a player has the ability to make the car drift for sharper turns if pressing ZL while moving sideways. (This may come in handy for a race car track.)
Headlights
When driving the car a player may press the button R to turn on the headlights that a shown at the front of the car for better vision while driving during nighttime.
And that, my friends, will be how to craft, use, and enjoy the amazing Minecraft Car.

This isn't enough. At best, it indicates that it'll probably be overpowered, though we aren't considering how most of Minecraft is either bumpy terrain or water.

Texture Pack content is not part of minecraft. They are user additions, like mods.
I could make a texture pack with animated circuits and laser beams; should mojang add Phasers, Nukes and Energy Shields because I made a texture pack that replaces the TNT texture with that of a nuclear bomb?
So with just one piece of coal it can go for a full Minecraft day? And it only take 7 iron ingots total to make? This almost requires less to work than an iron chestplate! And yet it seems better than all other modes of transportation! It's absolutely absurd, not to mention it doesn't fit in any way at all.
Or what? Will the icebergs melt if we don't add cars to Minecraft? Are people being held captive and the only way to rescue them is to add cars to Minecraft? What's the situation here?
We want to add a car
Wait... So now we don't need to, we want to. Not only that, but I don't want to, so who else is "we"? (Oh, it's you and your brother, NVM...)
because we think it would be a very fast use of transportation during survival. For the car, you will craft tires, the car, and a paint bucket. We would like to add paint buckets to allow the player to color there car however they would like. The car can also be a place of storage.
Below are the instructions we thought would be good for making the Car.
This already sounds... terrifying.
Start with Tires. Craft the tires using the crafting table:
1) Iron Ingot in the middle row center place holder
2) 8 Blocks of Coal in all the other place holders around the Iron Ingot
**This will create ONE tire.
Mmkay stop. First of all, tires are made of rubber. Second of all, the only compressed storage block used in crafting is the iron block, which is used in the Anvil. This makes some sense because an anvil is supposed to be strong, but you shouldn't force players into a grind to create a single overpowered item. That's not good gameplay, that's trading patience for cheating.
Even this crafting recipe isn't that expensive, though. Coal is easy to find. I have stacks of it in my main world, and if the car only requires 4 tires, that means I only need half of one stack.
Wait, so I only need 16 coal blocks, 7 iron ingots, and a glass pane to make a car. A car which doesn't fit Minecraft's technological theme at all, by the way.
Last, Bucket Crafting:
1) One bucket (can be placed anywhere)
2) Any color Minecraft dye (place next to bucket)
Why not just use dye? Why do I need to craft it with a bucket?
Now, how to use the car. We only play the WiiU Edition so you can translate the buttons to other game consoles. The car can move slightly faster than a fast horse.
Oh, I see. So it's super overpowered. Also, I love how you expect us to translate the buttons for you, rather than you putting in the effort to find the right controls yourself. That's a great way to make me want to not take you seriously support your suggestion.
So after I've already obtained 16 coal blocks, don't you think I would have more than enough wood by that point?
So in addition to carrying multiple passengers across thousands of blocks of land for a resource that's incredibly easy to get, it can also act as a portable chest long before the player gets Shulker boxes. No, not only that, it stores more than a Shulker box or chest.
Seating:
All four seats can be occupied but the trunk is only for storage.
So I can drive 5 people and carry a full chest worth of resources, not even counting the other player's inventory space, faster than the fastest horse breed in Minecraft, which goes at 52.45km/h. Let's go with a round number and say the car goes 60km/h. Now, long before I even have obsidian, I can travel half as fast as walking through the Nether. Heck, driving by car might take less time than a trip through the Nether because of the time it takes to get to the Nether through a Nether Portal.
Headlights
When driving the car a player may press the button R to turn on the headlights that a shown at the front of the car for better vision while driving during nighttime.
And now you want to implement Dynamic Lighting, just to make things even more ugly. Not only that, but this light source is moving at 60 km/h, far faster than walking speed.
And that, my friends, will be how to craft, use, and enjoy the amazing Minecraft Car.

No Support.
Besides the obvious fact that this wouldn't fit Minecraft technologically at all, the suggestion contains little research into how certain aspects of the suggestion would be preformed, such as the actual speed of the car or how the headlights would work. In addition, for an object so mind-bogglingly overpowered, the price of such an item isn't even gated behind the Nether or End, or even getting Diamonds, for that matter.

Lol, seriously? I know cars would be cool, but this isnt gmod or roblox where they just added random things.
A car? How would that traverse over the bumpy terrain of overworld minecraft? You would have to build roads, and that would take a crap ton of work, and completely defeat the purpose of the car because you had to build the road to the location you're trying to get at.
I dont see why a car would be more effective than a horse, elytra, or minecarts.
If you want cars, download Flans mod
It seems like you just want a car because of transportation of 4 players, storage, and just for aesthetic pleasure. Minecraft isnt a game where you do stuff like this. You are a lone random survivor on an island, not Tony Stark with power tools.
I have no idea what your problem is. I worked very hard to write that entire thread. With the controls, is it my fault that I only have enough money for a Wii u?!?!?! I can't translate the controls if i don't if I don't have other consoles now can I? And plus I wanted Mojang to translate it. And with the paint bucket thing, what I want you to do is craft a bucket like normal and then go to crafting the menu and put the bucket next to a dye that you want. Is that toooo hard for you? And last but definitely not least, is there rubber in Minecraft noooooooope, so I improvised and did block of coal.

And for C1ff, I'm sorry about what I said, yeah, my brother talked to me. You did have some good ideas for his so, ah, could you maybe give me some advice on my idea?
We need to add a car to Minecraft!! And why? Explain so.
We want to add a car because we think it would be a very fast use of transportation during survival. Alright, you've started to explain, but that's not really enough. Think about other ways of transportation- there's Minecarts, there's Horses, the Elytra... There's a lot of ways to move fast in survival already.
These instructions are kinda hard to follow. I'd recommend finding a recipe creator online and posting the images made to make it easier to follow. Plus, wouldn't wool be better than coal for tires?
Next, crafting the car on a crafting table:
1) Glass Pane (any color) in the middle row center place holder,
2) 5 Iron Ingots in these place holder positions: Upper Row - left, center, and right; Middle Row - left and right. Why not Iron Blocks instead? It's already established that this car's capable of going fast, so it should be more expensive than ten minutes' worth of mining.
3) 2 Tires (created above) in the lower row left and right place holders Just two for the whole car?
**No item will be in the lower row middle place holder.
Last, Bucket Crafting:
1) One bucket (can be placed anywhere)
2) Any color Minecraft dye (place next to bucket) But why? I assume this is to color the car, but you could just craft the finished Car with dye, no bucket required.
Now, how to use the car. We only play the WiiU Edition so you can translate the buttons to other game consoles. The car can move slightly faster than a fast horse.
Try to find the button mappings yourself, because most people use Minecraft on PC. It's a matter of polish, really.
-To enter the car, press "ZL."
-To exit the car, press crouch/sneak button.
-To move the car, use the joystick in any direction (the car cannot jump) Can it climb inclines?
-Press and hold "A" to make the car move.
-During continuous use, every five to ten minutes the car will run out of gas, ejecting the player from the vehicle. (Note: Player cannot re-enter the car unless gas is put in)
-Getting gas requires one piece of charcoal to refill the car with five to ten minutes of use time. If the player puts more than one charcoal in the car, then the minutes will continue to build up. The maximum minutes a car can drive is 60 minutes. The car itself runs on coal? Seems like a steam powered thing if anything. Speaking of which, it doesn't seem to have an engine when crafted- perhaps include a Furnace?
Storage:
The car will contain four places of storage: passenger seat, back row seats (2 seats), and a trunk. (Note: Driver seat cannot hold storage) The trunk can hold three rows of nine holding squares. The seats can hold two rows of nine holding squares (Note: If a seat has one or more items, a player my not sit in that seat) To look in the inventory of a seat, you need to press "A." That's a crazy amount of storage for such a cheaply made vehicle. You'd never need to touch a Horse or Llama in your life.
Seating:
All four seats can be occupied but the trunk is only for storage. Makes sense.
Drifting:
When in the car a player has the ability to make the car drift for sharper turns if pressing ZL while moving sideways. (This may come in handy for a race car track.) Eh... it'll work, I guess.
Headlights
When driving the car a player may press the button R to turn on the headlights that a shown at the front of the car for better vision while driving during nighttime. Doesn't seem useful, since you can already see quite a lot at night unless your brightness is turned down severely.
And that, my friends, will be how to craft, use, and enjoy the amazing Minecraft Car.

Responses in bold.
I'd much rather have better furnace minecarts; steam engines represent the upper limit of non-magical technology in Minecraft, and so any car that's not a London Steam Carriage will have an extremely hard time fitting in. As much as I hate to say it when Minecraft has quite a bit of anachronistic stuff, this just doesn't fit in the way it's presented. Some kind of primitive coal-powered buggy might work, but that really begs the question of "why bother when a minecart is better".
Ultimately, I have to give this no support. Don't be discouraged, though; you can always refine the idea and return later.
I have no idea what your problem is. I worked very hard to write that entire thread.

I don't see Mojang here to do that for you. None of the posts here are from any Mojang devs of any kind.

No, it's a pointless step and I don't think it's necessary when the paint bucket does nothing that wouldn't fit the dye item.
And last but definitely not least, is there rubber in Minecraft noooooooope, so I improvised and did block of coal.
If there isn't rubber production in Minecraft, maybe, just maybe, tires and cars in general are a bit too far ahead of Minecraft's time period?
And for C1ff, I'm sorry about what I said, yeah, my brother talked to me. You did have some good ideas for his so, ah, could you maybe give me some advice on my idea?

dont look at this
I played minecraft with car mods.
It was fun at first, but it becomes boredom after a while unless you build roads to travel further.
