I was looking at the beacon buffs today and I noticed something. Other than the mining buff all the beacon buffs are to varying degrees combat focused. How about we get some expressly non-combat related buffs. here are some ideas I came up with:
Tier 1 powers
-Harvest: works like fortune but only for vegetables harvested, granting increased farm yield (Potatoes, carrots, wheat, ect.)
-Growth: Increases growth rate of vegetables (Potatoes, carrots, wheat, ect.) & increases leaf block degeneration speed to get apples faster.
-Village: Regeneration for villagers and non hostile Golems.
-Sustenance: Slows hunger loss.
-Fertility: Time between breeding mobs is reduced.
-Repel: Prevents hostile mobs from entering radius.
-Illuminate: Increases light level to 12 effectively blocking hostile spawns in radius and have the cool effect of letting you see beacon radius at night
-Turret: Deals DoT to Hostile mobs. (this one is kinda combat related but its a cool idea)
Tier 2 Powers
-Amplify: Increase beacon radius
-Extend: Double duration of buff after leaving radius (from 16 to 32 seconds).
One might argue some of these buffs are a bit too powerful, but keep in mind, each one requires you to kill a wither and that IMO earns you quite bit of leway. If someone wants to kill 16 withers to get all the buffs at once I'd say they earned all that extra juice.
These are pretty good ideas. Repel is absolutely overpowered, but the rest, considering the ffort taken are reasonable. If I made a beacon, I would definetly use growth! Mostly Support
