Making the Elytra, Name Tag, Saddle, and Totem craft-able completely removes the incentive to go exploring for these things. Woodland Mansions would be less important, dungeon loot would be less important, and you wouldn't really need to explore the Outer End much. Plus, the Elytra isn't supposed to be obtained before heading to the End, this would just ruin a lot of progression in the game.
All of these items can be found in the overworld, or worse yet, farmed. Yes, I like farming, but I don't think farming for rare items is a good idea.
Why don't I think this is a good idea? Because now the player can sit in one location with all his farms without needing to explore the world for worthwhile items. This is where farms become overpowered: When they make generated structures useless.
The only ones that seem worthwhile are the Saddle and Name Tag recipes, and only if you remove them from dungeons so that the recipes are actually useful. I never use horses, and I almost never need to name things in my survival worlds, so these items just pile up in my chests. Having a recipe to opt into getting those items sounds useful. (Plus you can get tons of both by fishing.)

My avatar is a texture from a small block game I made in Python. It's not very good and it probably won't work if you install it.
I'm very alone in my Minecraft worlds as I don't have a very good internet connection to run a server. If you're like me, you might be interested in my Posse mod suggestion.
The only items which even remotely have a chance of being made craftable and not upsetting game balance are name tags and saddles, which currently already have 3 ways to obtain them (chest loot, trading, fishing).
The others? Why is a Nether item used to craft Elytra, an item found in the End? Shulker shells are used to make a very powerful item (store/carry 729 stacks of items in an Ender chest!); and the totem recipe is not that expensive at all, considering that I could make hundreds of them right now with all the gold and emerald I have on hand (with enough gold to fill an entire chest with totems if they could stack to 64) and have mined close to 300 gold in a single play session before (easily over a thousand in a 1.10+ mesa biome) and emeralds are easy to farm (more than 7,000 farmed so far with nothing more than basic manual farms and a few minutes per day).
Elytra crafted with the Nether star removes the incentive to explore the outer end islands. With this recipe all you have to do is kill the Wither. Also, making shulker shells crafted with popped chorus fruit removes the need to find and loot End cities, which are one of the coolest (and for some people the hardest) dungeons in the game. The totem of undying recipe also makes looting Woodland Mansions not special anymore since you can just craft them. Also, while the 9 emeralds needed to craft the emerald block to make the totem might be hard to get if you don't trade with villagers, they are extremely easy to get if you cure a zombie villager and trade or stumble across a village.
Though you could argue having recipes for nametags and saddles makes them less special, having them craftable really doesn't upset the game balance that much. However, I don't see a reason why we need recipes for them.
Due to the reasons mentioned above, I am going to have to say No Support.
The Elytra, Shulker Shell, and Totem recipes are a little too accessible, and, as Wolftopia said, remove the incentive to explore End Cities and Woodland Mansions. Those items were created EXCLUSIVELY as a reason to enter those otherwise undesirable places. However, I do like the idea for craftable saddles and name tags (cause I'm a person who likes to name ALL their pets and collect lots of mounts. I always need to use a mod that allows crafting recipes for said items when playing with pet mods!)
No support for first 3, support for last 2 recipes.
The uncraftable things shouldn't suddenly become craftable. Especially the totem. The only one I could maybe support is the name tag, but the recipe you gave makes it too easy to get.

Yeah, that guy in the avatar is me. I'm *that* strange. It happens. Sometimes people act like that. Just go with it. I can offer help with suggestions even before you post them - NOT make your suggestions - but help you with them.

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
