Hey guys I'm new to this fourm here first of all anyways here is my tameable Mob idea it's ok if you don't like it that much
Anyways heres my idea.
Obviously it would be a komodo dragon and I'm pretty sure we all know what a komodo dragon is they would be neutral mostly unless they get attacked by a player. If a player does attack a komodo dragon the komodo dragon will attack with a biting animation it will also inflict poison on the player as well. They have 25 health so there quite strong. Now your probably wondering how do I take one of these well it's the same thing on how you tame a wolf just feed it some meat untill it's tamed now unlike mo'creatures I don't think they should be rideable. Now your probably also wondering what purpose would these guys serve other then a upgraded wolf?. Well I think a good purpose for them would be able to poison other enemies once they attack a mob you have hit they could also serve as a temporary meat shield since what's their tamed they take reduced damage from mobs making them tanks. I don't know which no one they would spawn in naturally mabye mesa biomes?. Anyways what do you guys think of my mob idea?

We have tanks already. They're called iron golems. Although I suppose komodo dragons might be breedable? How would you breed them? With meat like wolves? Since they're stronger it might have to be that they only eat a specific type of meat or you need to feed them say three pieces of meat before they go in love mode.
Also I should note that wolves don't take reduced damage from mobs when tamed - they get a health boost from 4 hearts (8 health) to 10 hearts (20 health). Would they have 25 health when wild or when tamed? Or both?
Considering Mojang added polar bears a couple of updates back, I don't think komodo dragons would go too astray, as if they do spawn in mesa biomes, it would be a great addition to a great biome, even if I have no idea what they are. Do they breathe fire too?
If you don't know what a komodo dragon is then I recommend you look it up and it does not breathe fire also I don't really count iron golems as tameable mobs
This idea is cool! It's good how you chose to place this mob into the otherwise bleak and empty Mesa biome. I also like the fact that the komodo dragon's attack inflicts poison as it is like that in real life. A mob with a 'tank' role is yet to be seen in Minecraft, so this might fill in that space. Though I feel like Komodo dragons should be more speed attackers?

Obviously it would be a komodo dragon Right off the bat... I'm not a fan of this spelling or grammar. I don't know whether or not English is your main language, but this is pretty poor post styling.
and I'm pretty sure we all know what a komodo dragon is Assume for the moment we don't, maybe? At least a link to Wikipedia would be helpful?
they would be neutral mostly unless they get attacked by a player. Okay.
If a player does attack a komodo dragon the komodo dragon will attack with a biting animation Okay.
it will also inflict poison on the player as well. I'm not sure I'm really a fan of letting mobs use poison or other potion effects other than the Witch. Poison can get OP really fast.
They have 25 health so there quite strong. If you're going to make it try to kill me, can you at least make it a bit easier for me to kill it?
Now your probably wondering how do I take one of these well it's the same thing on how you tame a wolf just feed it some meat untill it's tamed now unlike mo'creatures I don't think they should be rideable. This sentence alone needs a lot of improvement. I'm pretty sure this is at least 3 sentences without any periods or commas.
Now your probably also wondering what purpose would these guys serve other then a upgraded wolf?. You don't need a period and a question mark. You only need one.
Well I think a good purpose for them would be able to poison other enemies Eh... No. This is what brewing is for.
once they attack a mob you have hit they could also serve as a temporary meat shield since what's *once their *they're tamed they take reduced damage from mobs making them tanks.
This actually sounds interesting.
I don't know which no one they would spawn in naturally mabye mesa biomes?. Um... Maybe you could have done a bit more research on Komodo Dragons before posting a thread all about them?
Anyways what do you guys think of my mob idea?
No Support.
Now I like the idea of a meat shield animal, although it doesn't exactly sound like there is an obvious correlation between Komodo Dragons and meat shields.
Other reason I don't like this: It's a not very well known mob. Most people in the United States or the United Kingdom have heard of Sheep, Pigs, Cows, Dragons and Zombies, but less people have heard of Komodo Dragons. Generally if an animal has more than two words in it's name, it's usually too obscure to be put in Minecraft.
If you want to keep the Komodo Dragon idea, I would suggest making it breathe fire, or do something that sounds very dragon-ish. (Although we already have a dragon...)

My avatar is a texture from a small block game I made in Python. It's not very good and it probably won't work if you install it.
I'm very alone in my Minecraft worlds as I don't have a very good internet connection to run a server. If you're like me, you might be interested in my Posse mod suggestion.
Your still kinda wrong not a lot of people know what a ocelot is so if they got added into minecraft then why can't a komodo dragon also i'm horrible at typing and there is no biome in minecraft that suits the komodo dragon's habitat.

I suppose that's true. (Although, most people that didn't know what it was would probably just call it a cat, or possibly a cheetah)
so if they got added into minecraft then why can't a komodo dragon
You make a good point, but I still don't like the fact that the mob has two words in it's name rather than one.

According to wikipedia, "The Komodo dragon prefers hot and dry places, and typically lives in dry, open grassland, savanna, and tropical forest at low elevations." And we have a Savanna biome that doesn't have many original mobs.

Yeah now that you mentioned the savanna Biome I could see them spawning in there
You should probably provide a picture of a Komodo dragon. Here is a good one:
Check out my suggestions! Here is one of them:
