I didn't put in much description so that people can put in their own suggestions to kinda shape the idea in a way. Does that make sense?
Uuuuuhhh....no. Please provide at least a little more detail for your mobs, as the way they are put in the suggestion as of now make them sound completely useless.
Try to answer the following in your suggestions:
1. Why should this/these be added?
2. How does this benefit the player/game?
3. Who does this benefit?
4. What? (Information about the feature; in your case it would be the appearance, health, damage, etc. of your mobs)
Sorry, but as of now I'm going to have to say no support until you add more to the post.

These are harmless mobs that will only attack silverfish & will spawn in semi-dark places. They can be tamed on a right-click & can be kept in "Jars" or glass bottles. If they come into contact with a cobweb, they will stay ambient in the web. They will commonly drop spider-eyes & string like normal spiders. I think this will be a nice addition to Minecraft as they are nice decorative mobs that can give spiders a positive reputation for a change. I think it's nice to just have the occasional mob here or there that just adds to the nature effect of Minecraft.
More about the beetles:
These are small, coloured flying mobs that are passive & are simply around to make Minecraft a bit more lively. Beetle types could consist of...
Weevils, Christmas beetles, Elephant or Rhinoceros beetles & fireflies. These will spawn in trees & come out at night. They are attracted to lights & fruit such as apples. They will drop a new item called "Beetle shell" which comes in different colours & can be used to mend Elytra & craft dye. They can also make nice decorations & will run away from spiders.
More about snails:
Snails are slow mobs that spawn in jungles & swamps. They drop slime balls & are passive. They can eat your crops so keep them out of your garden & will also eat leaf & sugarcane blocks. They also spawn in the ocean & in or near ponds or little pools of water. They drop their shells on death & can be crushed into bonemeal.
FISH! Coz why not? Also it's much more fun when your fishing for a mob rather then an item.

Awesome! Could you add it to the original post, please?

Thank you for using a non-regular font in your post. I'm so glad you didn't use the regular boring font, because that would have made the post completely unreadable.
Alright, now that I'm done nitpicking your style, onto the suggestion itself.
First off, I don't think I would really want to keep a pet spider. There are some who might feel differently, but if we're adding new pets, I would rather keep a pet rodent or a pet reptilian rather than an insect or arachnid, and I'm sure a lot of people would agree with me.
I don't really see why the spiders need a "positive reputation" in the game. Do Creepers or Endermen need a "positive reputation" as well?
Next up, beetles. As much as the music in the game could use a bit more spice now and then, I don't like how the shells can only be used to repair elytra or create dye. One of those uses is only useful very late-game, and one of those uses is only useful if you want dye. (At least you can plant flowers that you don't need the dye from, and forget about them. I don't want many different colors of beetle shell sitting uselessly next to my flint and feathers.)
Snails might be useful, seeing as slime is actually really hard to come by unless you live nearby a Swamp Biome or you've found a big cave in a Slime Chunk. I definitely Support snails or slugs, at least. I don't see the need for more than one mollusk, though.
Last on the list is fish. I've never really cared about fishing other than as a way of getting items. This wouldn't really make sense when you get items like Leather, Leather Boots, or Enchanted Books.
I also don't really want sharks, because they'd just be an annoyance during the few times I want to work underwater. If I'm building an underwater base, I don't want to constantly fend off sharks whilst drinking water-breathing potions and swimming incredibly slowly. And when I'm not working underwater, they just take up spaces in the hostile mob limit that could be better spent on Zombies, Skeletons or Creepers for me to fight at night.
(Plus, I can't light up the entire ocean, so in order to completely mob-proof an area that I want a mob farm or similar construct, I would have to fill up the ocean with blocks. That's something I don't even want to think about.)

My avatar is a texture from a small block game I made in Python. It's not very good and it probably won't work if you install it.
I'm very alone in my Minecraft worlds as I don't have a very good internet connection to run a server. If you're like me, you might be interested in my Posse mod suggestion.

I understand the spider & beetle thing But I don't understand why you don't agree with the fish. But it's your opinion & I'm not gonna argue. Thank you for the feedback & Sharks however, will only attack fish & only be aggressive if provoked. Sorry I forgot to put that in the opening.
Is there any way I can improve the beetle or spider idea or make it better?
But I don't understand why you don't agree with the fish.
I just feel like seeing a fish come towards your line and then getting leather boots seems odd. It makes a bit more sense when you can't see what you're fishing for. (You rarely can, in real life. From the very little fishing experience I've had, you can't really see what's going on that far underwater.)
Is there any way I can improve the beetle or spider idea or make it better?
First, there should only be one type of beetle, perhaps with a few different models/textures like the horse or rabbit. (Although if it's going to be beetle-sized, I don't really see why this much detail is needed.) Second, the beetle shell needs a few uses before you get the elytra, other than dye. A potion ingredient might be a good one, especially if you make the beetle or the drop rare.
Pets in this game usually have a purpose, and whilst I don't think I've ever really used cats to scare off creepers before (because it's much easier to place a hundred torches), I feel like the spider should have some kind of function other than killing silverfish. (Which only spawn in two places.)
Even the cat's ability to scare creepers and the wolf's ability to scare skeletons can be used for sorting mobs from a mob farm. (I've seen it done.)
But also, I feel like having a tiny pet spider would be like having a tiny pet skeleton. And whilst a lot of people want to tame the enderdragon, I feel like badguys should remain badguys...

Perhaps the spider could find & kill beetles? And beetles could be used to colour the elytra or be an ingredient in potions of luminance or levitation?

Umm, Ok.
