Hi, Guys welcome to my new thread today i will show you guys an idea that i got and it's really interesting and nostalgic for everyone so, what's the idea here well it's simple but very nostalgic for those guys what played firstly on the Alpha versions of minecraft but like the alpha generation of minecraft was removed and replaced whit the actually what it's on the game it will very good get back the alpha generation but whit a little changes overwhile whit a new generation option called alpha biome taking back the old minecraft generation whit that the structure whit the old textures/sounds (what it will be disabled when you gonna create the world selecting the option) look the epics and some beautifull natural structures that you guys might know perfectly!
"In a relative opinion it will be calming this biome taking some good old memories from very old users"
Well maybe some people of the comunity won't be agree whit the next idea but it's just try it for FUN :
In the caves theres a probability for spawn a herobrine totem just as a funny easter egg it will be a normal "Statue" it won't do anything it will have the normal texture that we already know about him but you can take it whit a pickaxe and the Statue will have a Sign on his front saying "There's Nothing Spooky on this Statue :D" Rarely times when you're closer of the Statue on the chat will appear something Like this: >Herobrine: "Hi :D" >Herobrine: "2Spooky4u" >Herobrine: "You Should do something Better Right Now" >Herobrine: "I'm watching you sleep boy"
Also i forgot to add something on the Alpha biome you can have a little fog like a render distance it won't affect much the view but it will make the ambient more comfy
Why did you use mod pics? The huge trees seem to be from Twillight Forest, while there's also the Farlanders mob.
Adding Herobrine as an easter egg the way you suggested is weird and unfitting. If anything, the easter egg should be a short-lived particle effect in the distance, rather than a statue.
Finally, the "Elytra Warriors" seem to be really lazily-designed mobs, as they do practically nothing unique except for using shields. Notably, their most powerful variant is outright a pushover stat-wise, specially for mobs that appear in End structures, as they're clearly a lot weaker than Shulkers and incredibly vulnerable to potions.
i used those pic's for making an example for the posibilities btw that's true elytra warriors are too bad for defend maybe some fixes for this idea would be nice for it, also i like that effect you told seems nice but what do you think about the alpha biome? by your point of view
You might want to separate these suggestions into multiple threads before this gets locked.
As for the main suggestion, Alpha Biomes, I feel like this would just be nostalgic to some, but ugly to the rest of the playerbase. That grass just makes my eyes bleed, since I didn't really know about Minecraft when it was in Alpha and I don't feel super nostalgic for the old color of grass.

My avatar is a texture from a small block game I made in Python. It's not very good and it probably won't work if you install it.
I'm very alone in my Minecraft worlds as I don't have a very good internet connection to run a server. If you're like me, you might be interested in my Posse mod suggestion.
No to the new mob. That makes it a wishlist, so I'd take that out and focus entirely on the new biome. I think it'd be a fun idea to have an old forest biome have a chance of spawning, and those custom structures can spawn in said forest biome using structure data.

Watch out for the crabocalypse. Some say the day will never come. But it will.
Feel free to drop by for a chat whenever.
If you'd like to talk with me about other games, here are a few I play.
Team Fortress 2
Borderlands series (Borderlands 2 is my favorite game, ever. TPS combat is a lot of fun and makes up for the lower-quality story, in my opinion)
Elder Scrolls series
Warframe (IGN is something like That_One_Flesh_Atronach)
Pokémon series (HGSS forever)
Rocket League
Fallout series
Left 4 Dead 2 (Boomer files always corrupt though)
SUPERHOT (SUPERHOT is the most innovative shooter I've played in years!)
Dead Rising series (Dead Rising 2 is one of my favorite games, and the 3rd was a lot of fun. 1st has poor survivor AI and the 4th is bad)
Just Cause series
Come to think of it, I mainly play fighting-based games.
I don't see how anybody could like the grass colors either and otherwise it just looks like a more mountainous forest (which I agree could be added but as a forest variant, not an "alpha biome". Better yet, have a random chance of height variation being increased in any non-flat/non-water biome without requiring new biome variants).
Not to mention, very few players today have played or even heard of Alpha (or Beta, as one of your screenshots actually shows); around three-quarters of all copies ever sold have been sold since late 2013, already 2-3 years past Alpha/Beta, and many of the earliest players probably no longer play the game anymore:
In fact, 3/4 of all players have likely never played a version prior to release 1.7 (I consider them to be the best because of the underground, nobody really understands what a "big" cave is these days).

Just as you like the old cave terrain generation, many people (myself included) enjoy the old terrain generation. Today's is too flat and realistic in most cases, and many players find excessive terrain bumps to be good to build on.

I feel like it should be 'alpha world type' instead of 'alpha biome' - since it's drastically different terrain and all. Maybe have it add the 'alpha biome' and use alpha terrain generation on ALL biomes.

Hmm... that could works too in many senses as an option too it's a great form for add this and complement it

The part I disagree with is a biome specifically designed to replicate Alpha/Beta, even down to the colors and sounds, which can easily be done with a resource pack, but they could increase terrain variation in all other biomes (where applicable; Customized can do this but will mess up biomes like rivers, oceans, and swamps, which Amplified excludes, but Amplified is too much for most players).
Also, if they added an "Alpha" world type then they should add world types for every other terrain generator (at least the major updates; Alpha, Beta, Beta 1.8-release 1.1, release 1.2-1.6.4, 1.7+, since they made a lot of minor changes with each update back in Alpha/Beta), maybe even replicating them as closely as possible (Mojang did do this when 1.2 came out by adding a hidden world type, "default_1_1", which was applied to old worlds so world generation was the same as in 1.1, but the only change they made was add jungles, which could easily be excluded from the biome list and keep everything the same. You can even unlock it in versions as recent as 1.6.4 by using NBTExplorer to change the generator name). However, that would present many issues and be difficult to do and make the game much harder to maintain/update since in many cases they would have to add entirely new code/re-add old code (including buggy code, aka the Far Lands. Some bugs could be fixed though, such as the chunk rotation bug, as that would only cause minor differences).
Add a resource pack, and maybe one of TheMasterCaver's cave expansion mods and you're pretty much good to go.

Why do I still play in 1.6.4?

I hated the first demo. It has a special place in my heart, but I still hate it.
Now that we've got that out of the way,
I'm pretty sure Biomes O'Plenty has an alpha island that looks exactly like the images above. Sure, it's not exactly Alpha, but still looks like that.
Also, sorry for the late ass reply
