It's really annoying to connect redstone to objects and in the upcoming updates, there should be a bluetooth type of option so that you don't have to build any wiring. Useful for redstone lamps.
First off, Bluetooth is probably copyrighted. Besides that, how would the game know where to connect each wiring? Once you have multiple Bluetooth wirings, the game would get confused on what goes where.
Next, this would make Redstone obsolete. Instead of trekking deep underground to mine countless Redstone, you could just switch to Bluetooth.
Finally, in a game with a medieval setting, why is there Bluetooth- something created in the 21st century?
Then redstone would become obsolete :P. I'm no redstone wizard but it's satisfying when I do manage to come up with something clever. Let's say something like this did exist, it'd still require some level of attention since it can't read your mind. You'd have to specify a point A and B and even then that's only the most basic circuit. It's just not practical. You'll get better with time and practice.
I know almost nothing about redstone. By the time I've made it a good ways into a survival world, I'll have a useless stack and a half of redstone blocks, just sitting in my mineral chest from all of my mining trips. But this? Honestly, I would rather spend my time watching a tutorial video instead of hooking this up to that and badaboom, it's functional.
Bluetooth is probably one of the farthest things from anything Minecraft I could think of. This just makes redstone contraptions painfully too cheap and ruins the whole point/fun of making circuits. That's the whole point of redstone. No support.
Also, did you make another account to upvote yourself..? nevermind

Yeah, that guy in the avatar is me. I'm *that* strange. It happens. Sometimes people act like that. Just go with it. I can offer help with suggestions even before you post them - NOT make your suggestions - but help you with them.
It would be better if, instead, there was a new block that, if powered by Redstone, would "broadcast" a Redstone signal to other instances of the same block in a large radius.
Seems pointless though because if you want wireless redstone you can do it with command blocks already. The simplest way to do it would be to have a command block that runs a /setblock command and places a redstone block at the coordinates you want to receive a signal. The only time Mojang adds new commands or redstone related stuff is in the case something is impossible to do or at the very least it's excessively complicated. With wireless redstone, it's easy to do so there's no need for Mojang to add something like that.
What if there was a Redstone Emitter and a Receiver? You'd have to put redstone (max. 64) into both of them to set the range of sigal sending and receiving and each of those could have a name set by the player for sending signals. This would be very helpful to the mapmakers.
How about a Tesla Coil of some kind? Those can be used in real life to transport electricity through the air. It sounds much more plausible to Minecraft's atmosphere.
I personally do support the idea, but it definitely shouldn't be without limit.
I was assuming this was for map making in creative mode. I don't see the applications for wireless redstone without use of command blocks. Could you give me a scenario? I just kinda think it's unnecessary since redstone wiring is already easy enough and I've never once wanted any redstone stuff I've done to be wireless, except when it came to messing around with map making. Just like most things that take effort, it does take some practice but that's realism for you. It'll give you a real sense of accomplishment when you get it down.

How would this work?
First off, Bluetooth is probably copyrighted. Besides that, how would the game know where to connect each wiring? Once you have multiple Bluetooth wirings, the game would get confused on what goes where.

No Support.
1. It's somewhat like Bluetooth; it's not actually Bluetooth and they can just name it differently
2. Similar to walkie talkies, you can command it, by right clicking on two objects or something
3. Obviously the crafting will include extremely valuable items- including redstone
4. Probably like some radar signal or something. Your final argument would also be directed to CDs, Dispensers, Droppers, etc...
Then redstone would become obsolete :P. I'm no redstone wizard but it's satisfying when I do manage to come up with something clever. In Creative, you already have command blocks to make a wireless redstone system using /setblock to place/remove Redstone Blocks/Torches.
