Can we please have concrete half slabs so that we can letter concrete when it comes designing buildings and stuff.
Just designing a underground rail system with concrete in creative for my survival world, it looks absolutely brilliant with the clean textures of concrete and sea lanterns as lighting (concrete is one of the best blocks to be added in years) but it's crying out for some corporate lettering of a fictional company that can actually fit in the space, at the minute I'm limited to some of the alphabet (which I can make work for my build so it's fine). It would be great if putting three concrete slabs together in your crafting table or attacking them with a certain pickaxe enchant yielded concrete half slabs that could be used for this purpose or at the side of the road as a pavement (I think at the minute a lot of people are using gray beds which is a bit weird). The whole feel makes the stone brick and oak wood slab rail tunnel I've used for a long time look awful in a very good way, but it just needs half-slab letters to complete it.
Concrete certainly is a nice and popular building block, so I’d be fine with making it into a slab (and stairs, which would be bound to follow). The one problem I see with this is that there would have to be 16 different concrete slabs for each color. That would bump up the slabs number from 15 to 31. Still, I could see it being useful to builders.
