1: Bows only useable from offhand (accurate to life)
2: Bows have attack indicator that displays accuracy of shots rather than damage (higher max. accuracy than current accuracy, prevents spamming)
3: Right-clicking with sword/axe in offhand attacks with them (if no right-click action in main hand, allows actual dual-wielding)
4: Gold tools attack faster and deal more damage, gold armor has higher damage reduction, and both have increased durability (gold tools have always been unloved / too expensive)

Feel free to suggest more!
These are not fixes (none of the current mechanics are unintentional), more like changes. Current version is 1.10.2, not sure why you're saying 1.9 fixes (is this another combat suggestion?)
So a bow is only usable from the left offhand? I'm a right hand user and cannot pull with my left and shoot. If you're being accurate to life (or real life, not sure what you mean there), gold is really dense and heavy, you'd be swinging a gold sword way slower than an iron one.
I do like the idea of real duel wielding though. You can shoot a bow from the offhand, so using a weapon in the offhand should work as well.
"Fixes" to things that changed in 1.9 (for example, I think gold got even worse in 1.9). These would be implemented in the current update (1.11 right now), not changes to 1.9.
For (most) people who learn how to use a bow, you hold the wooden part in your offhand and draw the string back with your main hand, so this change would make it so that you need to hold the bow in the offhand (not either) and it would also mean that you have your entire hotbar for arrow priority.
Gold's thing in Minecraft is being super fast, but we could decrease its speed, as long as it gets a much-needed damage and durability increase.
Yeah, as for dual wielding, I was super excited when they started talking about it during the snapshots, but It wasn't quite what I expected.

What is "broken" that would prompt these changes? Please elaborate more.
Also 1.10 has been out, so I would assume that these changes would apply to 1.10 and not 1.9.

These suggestions are small enough that they should be posted in our "small suggestion" thread
